NDREAMS, studio behind free play arena shooters Frenzy, The game announced it will be coming out of Early Access later this year, but will not appear in the previously planned PSVR 2.
The studio has issued a statement. Frenzy Coming to PSVR 2:
“We look forward to seeing Frenzies play for free if we leave early access later this year!
The focus is on providing the best possible version of Frenzy, making it difficult to decide to focus your efforts on a Meta Quest release, and you won’t be releasing frenzy on PS VR2. We know this will be disappointing news for anyone eagerly waiting for the release of the PS VR2, but don’t worry.
For now, prepare to prepare for more Frenzies updates in the coming weeks as we roll out our early access roadmap. ”
Released in October 2024 in early access after Quest 2, Frenzy It brings fast-paced arena shooting action and a variety of standard weapons and game modes. All of this is packaged in an incredibly solid VR native gameplay experience.
The PSVR 2 players who want to jump in at launch are probably disappointed, but it makes sense from a developer’s point of view for a number of reasons.

Over the past year, Quest has seen major conflicts with younger users adopting the platform along the entrance to the $300 Quest 3S.
“We’re expected to be a free and viable strategy for developers who have previously relied mostly on premium apps. But I don’t think F2P will replace premium apps,” Samantha Ryan, meta VP of Metaverse Content, said in February.
There is also an economic environment that is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate. After the UK-based studio recently laid off both NDREAMS STUDIO ORBITAL and NDREAMS STUDIO to a new internal studio “Compass,” it is possible that NDREAMS is aiming to maximize returns by appealing to the largest future player pool.
Still, NDREAMS has developed and released a dizzying high-quality VR game, as it is one of the most advanced XR game studios. Vendetta Forever, Power Wash Simulator VR, Ghostbusters: Lise of the Ghost Lord, Synapse, Fracked, Little Citiesand Phantom: Cover Ops Give it a few names.
