The game received negative feedback during the beta stage, and it is likely that it was significantly delayed in release.
While the gaming world celebrated the release of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, another game scheduled to be released a few days ago did not come true.
The game was originally scheduled to be released on April 25th, but that day is over and the game is nowhere to be seen. Unfortunately, gaming studios aren’t big on social media either, so it wouldn’t be surprising if many gamers didn’t know what happened.
The newest game from former Metro Devs is indefinitely behind
The game I’m referring to is “La Quimera,” the latest game in the studio, firmly known as 4A Ukraine, the developer behind the popular Metro franchise. Lachimera was originally scheduled to be released on April 25th, but that hasn’t happened and the studio has not given a schedule for its release.
The only updates the developers share comes from inconsistencies as the studio has not announced it on the game’s Steam page. They don’t have a Twitter/X account. That is, if you’re not in the mismatched channel, you’re left in the dark as to what’s going on. discord
An announcement from Reburn CEO and co-founder Dmytro Lymar said, “I would like to apologise for the unexpected delay in bringing our fans, supporters, La Quimera to you.” “The team here at Reburn is working hard on the game, and it was our first title as an independent game developer, leading to unexpected challenges. We are doing our best to address the issue as quickly as possible.
Studio bosses share that they have failed to provide an announcement or release window timeline, but communicate more updates through social channels as soon as possible.
The game is often late, but the odd thing here is that there is no explanation as to why it was delayed. Did the development team encounter a last minute bug that caused the game to crash? Did something not function properly and require development time?
Perhaps the reason is due to quality? La Quimera is scheduled to get its closed beta on April 12th, and was delayed until April 19th (thanks to PC Gamer). Yes, the game was supposed to get its beta one week before its release. People on Steam who could try it didn’t have any good words to say about the beta.
Perhaps La Quimera has gained significant delays, so Reburn is quieting the game’s status. If I know more, I’ll let my readers know.
