Team Folon’s popular Fallout 4 mod, Fallout London, was far exceeding expectations of many players when it was released last year. Over a million players took them to the abandoned streets of Old Brightty in 2024 to fight against the likes of Mittenlurks and Dryads, but the game has not yet been played.
Alongside titles like Into the Radius and Metro: Awakening, the unprecedented era seems to have never been better for VR players trying to escapism in the post-nuclear hellish hole.
Fallout London was already one of the best mods ever made, but it appears that the whole experience is taking it a step further by allowing players with VR headsets to immerse themselves in the beautifully crafted and broadly detailed world of Fallout London.
More along the way
In addition to a series of DLC extensions, it will be released throughout the year The new fan-made mod also offers fully immersive VR support for the game.
The mod is technically still in beta, and isn’t that there’s no occasional hiccups, but developer Asciim0V has assured players that “a bug that beats all known games has been fixed.”
To install the mod, you must first own both Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, Fallout 4 VR, and Fallout London. Additionally, you will need Fallout 4 Script Extender VR 0.6.21 and MOD Organizer 2 (MO2).
For players who have encountered technical difficulties, the team behind the ambitious mods even has their own discord channel to report problems and bugs.
When the community cares enough, it simply shows that almost anything is possible, as is often the case with Bethesda games. It seems like a gift that keeps giving as Fallout London already offers players a completely unique storyline and is perfectly suited to the Fallout universe.
