At this point it becomes a meme about Bethesda’s games tend to have bug issues, and Fallout 76 is no exception.
The latest issue that will affect one of their games comes from the latest patch of Fallout 76. This promised the players an opportunity to ultimately play as ghouls.
An update called Ghoul was released yesterday, but members of Fallout 76 Subreddit discovered that there are several issues with the questline that can convert them to block progress.
What’s the problem?
A post from Both_emu_2131 states that when the game is disconnected from the server while customizing Ghoul’s characters, he is running a quest with a Ghoul storyline called “a fresh pair of Genes of Genes.”
“…If your game happened to be disconnected from the server (mine did) you It’s completely blocked From making further progress in the storyline. ”
They also say that by reloading the game they pushed them back in the quest as usual, but their characters were already thought to have been ghouls by the game. In the quest, the player must be stunned to complete the conversion due to the nuclear silo radiation, but the ghoul cannot die to the radiation, so they cannot proceed further and complete their objective.
It also mentions that some comments about the post have been cut off at that time and are not allowed to make any further progress, so it seems that they are not the only ones who have problems with the questline.
It’s always a caution to wait for news about possible bugs before playing major updates in live service games. Bethesda develops the game.
Hopefully this issue could be quickly sorted out, and it doesn’t seem to affect everyone.
However, if you’re playing Fallout 76 and are interested in living a ghoul life, there’s no risk of progression blocking and it’s best to wait for a fix from Bethesda before diving in.
