Appalachian residents are getting a new way to remove the load and enjoy the irradiated nature.
Bethesda has announced the next big update coming to Fallout 76. This is available in patches provided to the public test servers of today’s games. A major overhaul into the game’s combat system.
This new addition gives players the option to get hot on the heels of another highly requested feature during the update last month and become ghouls.
To get their first fishing rod, Players who own the game on Steam simply log on to PTS, head to the Mire region and start the “Casting Off” quest.
Catch fish and crush limbs
The “Casting Off” quest introduces the player to the fisherman (formerly known as Captain Raymond Clark) and his pet giant hermit crab Lindery, who receives a fishing rod.
According to Bethesda, if you can swim in the water, you can fish.
Fishing rods can be upgraded by completing fishing challenges and daily quests, allowing players to choose from a variety of rod styles, bobbers and reels to help them catch bigger and better.
There are three different types of bait. Common baits that you can generally buy, improved baits you need to find from the world and daily fishing quests, and great baits that you can use as rewards for events.
The fish you can catch depends on the food you use and the weather. Wet weather gives you the opportunity to catch a region-specific fish or one of 12 different monthly axolotls. Meanwhile, you can spot shining fish by fishing in rad storms and weather caused by nuclear attacks.
You can turn the catch on a cooking station into a bit of edible fish and eventually learn to make grilled fish with more prominent effects, along with other recipes.
The new PTS update also includes major changes to the combat system. That is, how the enemy’s limbs work. Instead of having a set opportunity for your attack to cripple your body parts; The enemy’s limbs have their own health and can become crippled by dealing sufficient damage.
The change is intended to make the system more consistent and predictable, and is intended to significantly change the way Bethesda approaches combat by removing crippling immunity from certain enemies and rewarding intensive fires to certain body parts. All existing perks, mutations, weapons, and weapon mods that previously gave you the percentage of chances to crimp, now boost limb damage.
Combat updates are expected to come to the main server before fishing updates. The second half of this year.
