Forgetfulness is back, but it’s not just because the Bethesda remaster is a nostalgia fueled trip down memory lane. It’s all for funny faces.
Developed by Remake Specialist Virtuos using Unreal Engine 5, Oblivion Remastered has a long list of visual and functional improvements. As expected, it runs at 4K resolution and 60 frames, but the other changes make more sense. Everything has been improved, from leveling system to character creation, combat animations and in-game menus. Meanwhile, there are many new dialogues, a good third-person view, and new LIP Sync technology. Changes are working well with the fans, Some people believe that remastered forgetting will be described more accurately as a remake.. But Bethesda, I explained why it went down the remaster route.
Passthecontroller has already reported on how the faces of interesting characters have been discovered by players, and has rounded up some of our favorites. But now, the person who actually worked on the original 20 years ago has declared the winner.
Jeff Gardiner worked for Bethesda Game Studios for 16 years. In a tweet, Gardiner, the boss of the current evil game, revealed that when testing the original forgetting, the Bethesda developers will compete to see who can come up with the most absurd face. You can imagine some of the faces the team has built, but in Gardiner’s opinion, there are ones that were recently made with a remastered forgetting that they would have won years ago.
The nightmare face in question was created by YouTuber and NASCAR/ARCA driver Cody Dennison, aka Camelot331. In a tweet, Camelot331 described his creation as “My Magnum Opus” and named him “Vancealot ir.”
Towards the end of development when we were all oblivious, we were all competing to see who could make the most absurd face. I have to say, I think this won. https://t.co/12xd5vbboz

Obviously, Vancealot ir leaned against JD Vance Meme. It revolves around a horrifying photo of the bloated US vice president.
Have you heard of JD Vance?
Well, this is 3D Vance. pic.twitter.com/id1alg2x2y

The tweet from Camelot331 introducing Vancealot ir has been viewed incredibly 2.1 million times, so he could be the creation of the most famous oblivion remastered character of all time. Gardiner approval stamps will definitely help too.
Of course, Gardiner’s tweet caused a flood of faces of equally quirky character creators in the reply.
Ah, I think this is great

There’s a lot more to the remastered Oblivion. What’s very impressive is that it could be called “oblivion 2.0”.” and I wondered what that meant for a remaster of theoretical Fallout 3.
