The bow has always been an Eldenling powerful weapon, but in general it is intended as a support weapon. You can weaken enemies from afar, kill one bird, or farm the farm again and again before switching to the main weapon when you reach range. But when you play like iron on the Night Train, the bow is the heart and soul of the class, resulting in a completely different style of play than any of the other eight classes in Nightreign, perhaps the closest to the support classes that Nightreign offers. Watch iRoneye in the exclusive gameplay video below.
The first thing I noticed while playing with irony is that they are in a very soft class. Of course, they can use weapons to pick up, but the main reason you want to always have a bow is primarily to make sure you don’t have to worry about getting away from the fight and getting hits. Luckily, your first bow is pretty solid. It deals decent damage and has a powerful shot as its skill, so you can attack from wonderful Get far away, deal extra damage and even more subdued damage.
It is also worth mentioning that the bow mechanism was primarily reworked in Nightreign. For one, they can fire much faster and move much faster while shooting locked enemies. Also, thankfully, you don’t need to supply arrows anymore. This means you’re stuck to the arrow type arrows that come with your weapon, but there’s no doubt that you don’t have to worry about leaving an arrow in a boss battle or potentially potential. For other neat new touches, there is a new animation when shooting arrows from the roll. You can do cool acrobatic things like running out of the wall, jumping, and losing arrows for style points. When you are manually aiming, you do not need to enter first person mode. A strong attack can fire three arrow spreads that can attack multiple enemies at once. And yes, you can now backstab or use visceral attacks against enemies that have fallen with arrows. Essentially, I feel that anything missing from the bow to make it a viable primary weapon for the base Eldenling is explained here in Night League.
iRoneye’s main skill is marking. This is a very fast dashing dagger attack, leaving a mark that passes through the enemy and adds extra damage from all sources. There is a very short cooldown. So, as long as you’re aware that the debuff is active, you can basically always raise it to the boss. It’s also a great mobility tool as it allows you to get through enemies and get out of bad places.
iRoneye’s Ultimate is a single shot, and as the name suggests, it’s a single powerful shot. This is basically a powerful shot of steroids. It takes a little time to charge, but you’re completely immortal during animation, and when fired, the shot deals a lot of damage, moving virtually straight through everything and robing a group of enemies at once.
But what really shines on the team is how good it is for them to revive their allies from a safe distance. As you know, the way Ally Revival works in Nightreign is that when someone goes down there are small split circles that fill up on the character. By attacking a downed ally, you can slowly empty that circle, and once it’s all empty, they’ll come back to life. Most classes need to take a great risk to come nearby and try to revive their allies. Alternatively, you will need to spend mana on a ranged spell or use the ultimate skill, but iron can be done safely from afar, without using resources. It can be invaluable and can be a manufacturer that will make the difference between successful and failed execution. The downside is that whenever an ally passes out, another partition is added to the circle and the irony is great at rezzing an ally, which is only once or twice, but unless you use Ultimate for resurrection, you will have trouble reviving an ally that needs to be cleared from afar, as you don’t have such damage output from the ground up.
They may not be able to deal the same kind of damage as some of the other classes, but the presence of iRoneye is always felt in the team. Between the marking ability that everyone hits a bit harder, the passive that increases the amount of items they have found, the Ult of their mob clear, and their unique ability to easily and safely revive people from afar, it’s almost unparalleled among the rest of the Night Farrers.
