Nintendo shared this information in the latest issue in the Digital Nintendo Magazine 2025 Special Issue (IVIA WCCFTECH) to reveal the technical capabilities of the platformer.
Donkey Kong Bananza Handheld Performance Revealed
According to Nintendo, the Donkey Kong Bananza runs up to 60 frames (FPS) in handheld mode with HDR (high dynamic range). This should mean a smooth experience of butter in the game, assuming you can maintain 60fps across the game, even with a massive outbreak on the screen.
Given that launch titles rarely tap on the console’s maximum functionality, is there a chance that 1080p could perform better with a consistent 60fps handheld? Yes, it’s already whimsical.
The latest Donkey Kong game was revealed earlier this month, and Nintendo’s official explanation reads as follows: Discover this adventure, surprises and banana-filled adventure when Donkey Kong Bananza crashes into a Nintendo Switch.
Donkey Kong Bananza will not be available until almost two weeks after Switch 2 release, but the lack of consoles at launch means that even after the latest Donkey Kong games are released, there is a very high chance that you won’t be able to buy Switch 2 or get one at retailers.
Mega-Retailer GameStop is said to have a very limited number of shares available at launch. This means that people fight to get their teeth and claws.
Donkey Kong Bananza is priced in the industry at $69.99, but Mario Kart World is even more expensive. If you’re looking for an arcade racer that’s available at launch, you won’t drill holes in your pockets. Please check this out.
