Yes, Jafar has founded a cryptocurrency, and Snow White’s Evil Queen is running her own pyramid scheme. Meanwhile, Gaston is about to impress his new Golf Brothers at the country club he just joined. It’s hilarious to see what villainous shenanigans these iconic characters reach in modern low-takes settings. They are taking over the world… in their own way. And hey, 2025, that means having a huge social media following!
The writing is sharp and interesting, with particularly pointy dialogue options (in this modern world, for example, it is possible to tell the villain that the ruler is 1%). Watching the characters interact is also a highlight. Cruella and the evil Queen turn their eyes to Gaston’s attempts to date “The Apps.” Maleficent and Ursula reluctantly cooperate in social media collaboration. And throughout that, the art style is incredibly engaging, with increasing rendering of Disney movie counterparts with characters with painting-like accents.
On in-game days, there are three opportunities to serve customers. In most cases, this means choosing between two villains. But don’t worry. It’s Cruela and Jafar at the counter, and even if I choose Jafar, the rest of Cruela’s storyline still unfolds. Brewing mechanics are very easy. Look at the recipe list, find the requested portion, then select the ingredients in the cupboard.

Occasionally, the villains have greater demands and attracting them continues the next big chapter of their plot. They present me with their desired potions. My handy Potion book also suggests “good” options. You will get the same results, but probably less property damage. If you want to try another option or accidentally add the wrong ingredients, you can choose at the end of the day to buy a re-do from YZMA. The branching is simple, but fun.
There is also a comprehensive mystery about the previous owner of the cafe that continues to baffle me – and surprisingly complicated. One day, after I was planning to ruin it for a day and try again, YZMA gave me the unlocked key to the secret room that had a clue about this mystical owner. However, I was fumbling through the Evil Queen’s storyline, so I wiped out any memories of the day and tried again. The second time, I didn’t get the keys – and a few days later, I haven’t done so yet! I’m not sure which conditions will cause more information about this storyline, but I’m determined to continue selling potions to find.
But even though I’m still struggling to understand the epic mystery of the cursed cafe, I’m still investing in the storyline of our clients. Even if not actually I invested in Wyshcoin and every time I saw Jafar at the counter, I wanted to know what he was looking for next, so I chose to serve him enthusiastically. Maybe I’m tapping my own inner villain by making him possible, but hey, you won’t become a favorite potion brewer of some of the best Disney villains by playing a hero.
