Looking for something new to play? A new demo of a relatively new game has recently been quietly released. If you’re a Star Wars fan, this should be just above your alley.
For those who aren’t big in the Star Wars franchise, the good news is that the game doesn’t need to know the lore to enjoy it, as it’s a standalone experience. Players on both PlayStation and Xbox can try this demo from today.
Star Wars Demostels dropped on PSN and Xbox Store
The new Star Wars game that has been stealth demoed on the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Store is Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws. Without fanfare, a demo of the game is now available.
The pre-release joke butt hated it just because it was an open-world Ubisoft game, but Star Wars outlaws were praised for offering something different instead of stomping on the familiar Jade Rope.
In open critics, it sits on a very respectable “strong” rating. This is not a bad game mark. Since its release, Star Wars Outlaws has received numerous updates to improve the core experience. This means that flaws and issues at launch may not be an issue at all at the moment. Player concerns like forced stealth segments have been fixed. In other words, the game is playing better than it is now.
The game’s first DLC has also been released, expanding the experience, with more content along the way. Ubisoft’s second story expansion is lined up for release in May. This means that if you’re trying out the demo now and have digged in good enough, you can finish the game in time for the new story DLC. Unfortunately, there is no carryover of saved data from demo to full game versions on either the PS5 or Xbox series version. The entire demo consists of three hours of games, and if you want to complete only the main story, it will last 18-20 hours, or it can inflate for more than 60 hours when you check all the side content of the game.
If you’re looking for a new single-player game to soak yourself up, Star Wars Outlaws might be that game, and now you can bite it a bit before you decide.
