The Nintendo Switch 2 will finally be here within two weeks. Nintendo The latest console debuted in March 2017, eight years ago..
Naturally, the demand for consoles is high and sold out almost instantly online. Everyone except Nintendo expected this demand. The console felt “too expensive”.
It’s ironic that Nintendo has this concern, but it charges $10 for Nintendo’s Switch 2 Welcome Tour. The goal is to showcase the features of Switch 2 in a more interactive and interesting way. Of course, there was an immediate comparison with the release of the Nintendo Wii. This included Wii Sports as a free game on the console. Wii Sports has become one of the biggest games of all time. Unless I’m wrong, don’t expect a welcome tour to light the world by setting fire. But that doesn’t mean it’s sitting on the shelf collecting dust forever.
Amazing numbers of people are interested in buying the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour
The recent thread on Nintendo Switch 2 Subreddit is a simple question: Are you buying a welcome tour?
At the time of writing, it’s not surprising that the majority of people say “no.” In fact, 63% of people don’t buy the title. But the number of people planning to buy it is amazing.
The top voting comment says, “Yes, I’m getting it too. It should have been free, but I’m not asking for $10 much.” “Only if it comes out and surprises people with something actually fun.”
While everyone remembered Wii Sports, Nintendo also included free games along with the release of Wii U: Nintendo Land. While not as interesting or iconic as the Wii Sports, Nintendo’s land was surprisingly shallow but fun. Most importantly, it was free and I didn’t have to pay $10. It would be nice to have a game that allows you to get used to the new features of Switch 2.
With the Switch 2 console, we’ll let you know if you’ll be surprised when the Nintendo Switch 2 welcome tour begins on June 5th.
