One of the most interesting games unveiled during the Devs of the Devs event is the upcoming life simulation RPG, combining Persona and Wariowale elements into one package.
Developed by Jenny Jiao Hsia and AP Thompson, Consume Me is an RPG where you can fight monsters and explore stars. In this case, getting healthy, finding romance and graduating from school is an HSIA’s daily struggle.
A new trailer for Consume Me will be on display during the developer’s day, with a fresh look at its unique mixture of odd and unique gameplay styles, and Persona Game scheduling is fused with the Micro Minigames of the Warioware series. Consume Me was the highlight of Developer’s Day
Consume Me will be on Steam on September 25th, 2025. The game is given HSIA’s life goals, but there’s not enough time to complete it all.
Consume Me’s mini-games involve planning meals using Resident Evil’s four-style inventory system, walking your dog to find money, and avoiding any thoughts about food. There are additional goals that players can complete to get more rewards. These seem like a lot of fun, especially when they merge with the aesthetics of gorgeous storybooks.
The Persona series has become a modern mainstream hit in the JRPG genre, but with the exception of the metaphor, Rifantagio, few games attempt to emulate popular temporal mechanics, except for Atlus itself. Consuming, I seem like a hilarious twist on the notion that the ultimate enemy is not a multifaceted God, but the limits of being human.
