Activision today released a complete breakdown of everything that comes to PC, PlayStation and Xbox players on its website. This is a huge wave of tweaks and additions across all modes in Black Ops 6, and gives players everything they want to know about how Call of Duty will change when Season 3 launches at 9am Pt on Wednesday, April 2nd.
The Black Ops 6 Season 3 Patch Notes heading includes cross-play adjustments that allow console players to individually adjust player pool options in both ranked and non-ranked modes. As Activision admits, for those who turn off cross-play, it could negatively affect matchmaking queue times, but at least another option for those who are trying to adjust their experiences of including or exclude all platforms, all consoles, or select consoles only.
On the other hand, the shotgun has come out as a big winner from the Black Ops 6 update as it receives small blanket buffs for almost every weapon’s damage, range and speed. All of this adds to everything new content, including the return of the classic multiplayer map firing range, the reintroduction of the Kilo 141 assault rifle, and the familiar scorestrakes on the Death Machine.
Zombie players also have plenty to whip, starting with the biggest highlights in the new map, the crushed veil. The Raygun Mark II also features three new variants that will explode zombies. Both multiplayer and zombies are packed with various bug fixes and tweaks to ensure that the experience stays smooth at launch.

Season 3 will receive special treatment this time as one of the most important maps of Call of Duty History, the Verdansk, will return. The Warzone Season 3 update, set to be released one day later, April 3rd, focuses on giving longtime fans a classic paint coat that will bring some features back to launch from 2020. here.
This means that Warzone feels nostalgic in both good and bad ways, while incorporating modern Call of Duty features like Omnimovement. In a video recorded before his death, special agent Jason Hudson warns of the Pantheon Malls, who has worked in the shadows for decades since Vietnam. They were able to avoid detection for years to cover the track using conflict and chaos. However, with some new leads being played, their secrets are no longer certain. With the release of Season 03, it’s time to get the trail tomorrow.
As always, we’ll keep you up to date with what comes with Season 03 release, including details on new multiplayer and zombie content, latest balancing adjustments, gameplay improvements, bug fixes and arriving tomorrow.
New Multiplayer Map
- Fire range (6v6)
- The firing range brings a illustrious return in Black Ops 6, a faithful remaster of fan-favorite maps. Beware of crossfires descending Long Center Road as operators fight to control tower viewpoint and higher levels of fire houses and garage. The shooting target moves back and forth the truck behind the office, adding useful diversions while preparing for the next fight. Keep preventing ambushing as you pass through storage units along the way, and fork into dirt roads to avoid centre confusion.
- Dam (6v6)
- Vietnam in 1968 follows Hudson’s clue surrounding one summit watch at the forefront of the battle. The trees have been cleaned and the landscape has been flattened to create space for this base to turn this base into a cannon battery in active combat. The area was hit with large chunks blown away from buildings such as command centers and barracks.
- Nomads (6v6, 2v2)
- The Pantheon mall was also in Afghanistan in 1986 when Woods fought there. They fought in the abandoned fortified villages that commanded the subsequent battles.
New Multiplayer Mode
Sharp Shooter
- All party modes are assigned the same loadout that changes every 45 seconds to all operators, and all party modes have the flexibility to make this classic black ops skill all free and party mode. Each cycle introduces new primary and secondary weapons to the Akinbo Pistols from the Scope Sniper Rifle, as well as new dedicated melee weapons and tactical and lethal equipment.
- Use everything at your disposal to unlock bonus abilities while eliminating enemies.
- First removal: Increased movement speed.
- Second removal: Increased reload speed.
- Third removal: Increased sprint recovery speed.
- No. 4 Removal: Improved advertising speed.
- 5th Elimination: Earn double scores to eliminate enemies.
- Continue to unlock the Streaks double scores and run them into the top three. Once you’re out, repeat those bonuses again to build them. There is a short countdown leading up to each weapon exchange. Adapt and win.
Dismantling
- Alternate between attack and defense of two bomb sites. The attacking team must destroy both bomb sites to win the round and earn a time bonus after exploding the first site. All attack operators spawn with bombs, and respawns are active on both teams during the match.
- Defense is running down the clock. Defuse immediately planted the bomb because the match timer pauses whenever the bomb site is in an active countdown. If any of the sites are destroyed, reorganize the site and throw everything to protect the last one.
New Weapons (Multiplayer & Zombies)
- Kilo 141 – Assault Rifle (Call of Duty: Warzone Login Reward)
- A fully automatic assault rifle with an ergonomic design that improves handling, and a stable fire rate will help you maintain your target.
- Kilo 141 is back and ready to tear it apart in multiplayer and Call of Duty: Warzone. The smooth handling of weapons, manageable recoil and stable fire rate gave room to shine in a variety of combat situations, and there is no doubt as to why Kilo 141 was a favorite in Verdansk. With the place back, it’s time to relive the day of glory with this hard-hit major weapon.
- Players will be automatically unlocked for use with Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone: Warzone: Warzone: Warzone: Warzone: Warzone: After logging in at the launch of Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone: Season 03.
- CR -56-Assault Rifle (Battle Pass)
- This lightweight 7.62 x 39mm fully automatic assault rifle is compact and powerful. Standard problem rifles built specifically for military use are deadly in mid-range combat and are easily constructed for a variety of assault tactics.
- Combining high-damage hits with fast fire rates and proper handling, the CR-56 Amax is the perfect mid-range weapon for quick downing of targets. Eliminate enemies with 3-4 shots up to 25 meters and plenty remain to bite the armor equipped. Quick Reload is a useful trait no matter how you choose to customize your weapon via Gunsmith.
- HDR-Sniper Rifle (Battle Pass)
- Anti-material bolt-action sniper rifle with chambers with 12.7 x 108mm ammunition. Bullets have lower muzzle speeds, but remain catastrophic even at very long ranges.
- Veteransk’s veterans know the power of HDR and the chaos that snipers can give it when stationed at a high perspective like the infamous airport control tower. The weapon’s long reach and great damage have become a favorite of the Sharpshooter, with its unique fire sound running through it. Add a reinforced barrel attachment to further increase damage range and bullet speed, and don’t forget to hold your breath for difficult shots.
- Kali Sticks – Melee (Event Reward)
- 2 hit kills. Very fast attack speed. Short distance.
- The infamous Charist returns and deals damage with a rapid swing that removes the target with a flash. Take them out in a more dramatic way by using a light attack on weapons to smack them with fast follow-up hits or unleashing heavy attacks. Use the Charist in multiplayer in the new Close Shaving Park to deploy a simple bang against enemies without having to manually replace it with a dedicated melee slot first.
- Nail Gun – Special (in season)
- Fully automatic nail gun. High damage at close range with fast handling speeds and very low muzzle speeds.
- Paste this handy tool into them, consisting of 15 claw magazines that fire fully automatic. Damage decreases immediately after 25 meters, giving you the best performance nearby. The low muzzle speed of a nail gun can make it difficult to land a shot against a fast moving target, so put it in sight and lower it before you know what hits. This armament is the reward you earned in the Black Ops tribute event.
New attachment
- Monolithic suppressor (battle pass)
- The monolithic core offers excellent sound suppression and increased range. Medium weight gain affects agility.
- Assault rifles (except VAL), SMG, shotgun, LMG, Marksman rifles, sniper rifles and pistols are available.
- SWAT 5.56 Glau Conversion (Battle Pass)
- Converts SWAT 5.56 into a fully automatic weapon with low damage and range but with improved accuracy, mobility and handling. Equipped with a new default barrel and magazine, unlocking the 50-round expansion magazine. Blocks the barrel attachment.
- C9 10mm Auto 30 Round Mug (in season)
- Use the conversion kit high caliber 10mm auto ammunition to increase stop power. Conversions increase some recoil and slightly lower the fire speed, but the extra damage, range and speed make this attachment a valuable consideration when approaching enemies on a larger map.

- Automatically use a dedicated melee attack when performing weapon bat attacks. Tap the melee button to attack. Just like in the past!

- A heavy minigun with fast fire rates, high penetration and large ammunition abilities.
- Exercising the infamous death machine. This is a powerful weapon with one big magazine that fires a large impact round at fierce speed. The scores obtained while using the Death Machine will contribute to the progression of your current scourge talk, which will make you a great tool to hit the next streak.
New Zombie Map: Smashed Veil
With the Sentinel artifact in hand, the crew heads out onto a remote wooded hill above Liberty Falls to meet Sam at an old mansion in the forest, converted into ((edited)). Only with the help of Sam’s synthetic mind is the team hopes to unlock the mystery of ancient artifacts and revive Agent Maxis. What’s not going well?

- The classic Rapid Fire perk returns for the first time in nearly a decade, dramatically increasing the fire rate of weapons, and bites horde of enemies at record times. We’ll investigate iconic perks for powerful enhancements, including faster fire rates and opportunities to deal double damage.

New Zombies wonder about weapons
- Ray Gunmark II (+ 3 variants)

New Zombie Enemies
- Elder disciple
- Strange floating illusions are seen leaping around the estate of vast gardens and rambling mansions. These powerful enemies, known to those known as elder disciples, will likely spell trouble for the crew.
- The elders’ disciples gain strength as they summon more undeads and take part in the battle, while empowering the zombies around them. Using their dark magic, the floating corpses of these fetal babies can evolve their allies more quickly, allowing lower zombies to be able to convert them more quickly into doppel guts or other ominous forms.
- Before their army grows too strong, they exclude the elder disciples, keep it far away and keep distance to avoid screams. Deadly enemies grow more excited as they take damage, so try getting the job done quickly.
- Toxic zombies
- Expect residents to take on the accidental rebellious pall as a sick yellow mist descends over the mansion. Console Cross Play Settings
Season 03 offers more detailed options for console players by separating MP rank play and Call of Duty. Adds new multiplayer-only settings for Warzone ranked play settings, QuickPlay, features and party games matches.
Each of these three settings (playing multiplayer rank, playing Call of Duty: Warzone rank, and no multiplayer rank) includes the following options:
- ON: Enable matchmaking with all game platforms when playing in the selected playlist.
- on (Console only): Enable matchmaking only with other consoles when playing in the selected playlist.
- This can have a negative effect on matchmaking queue times.
- OFF: Limit matchmaking to the current game platform only in the selected playlist.
- It has a negative effect on matchmaking queue times.
Additional details on how these settings interact with party members on various platforms.
- Party players, all belonging to the same console platform, will compete against the party leader’s favorite cross-play settings.
- Players who have selected “Cross Playoffs” and created a mixed platform party with different console platforms will temporarily adjust their crossplay settings to “(Console only) on (Console only)” to enable matchmaking. This temporary adjustment allows matchmaking during the Mixed Platform Party, and when you disband this party, your preferred matchmaking settings will be restored.
- Players who select “Cross Playoff” and create a mixed platform party with PC players will temporarily adjust their crossplay settings to “Cross Playon.” This allows matchmaking during the Mixed Platform Party, and when you disband this party, you will be able to restore your preferred matchmaking settings.
- Reminder: Adjusting your cross-play settings can have a negative impact on matchmaking cue times.

Multiplayer & Zombies
The main focus of the weapon balance change in season 3 is to allow for more gameplay diversity. Almost all attachments that change the behavior of the weapon’s core have received improvements to support viability in the meta. Our goal is to ensure that all existing and future weapon mods feel fun and powerful to use.
The semi-automatic weapon is another broad target for this patch’s buff. The change aims to make these weapons more accessible and competitive, and to create a clearer gameplay feel during faster semi-auto primary elections.
As a final top-level note, the Season 3 patch includes Jackal PDW adjustments. See below for more information about the thoughts behind the change. Our weapon balance philosophy is to be Nalfus and conservative, always consider whether there is an opportunity to enhance other weapons instead. In this case, I strongly feel that adjusting the Jackal PDW is good for future weapon meta health.
Shotgun
All three shotguns have improvements to alternative ammunition types. Dragon’s breath and sluggish ground. Dragon’s Breath deals slightly higher damage over time, resulting in longer range. Pellet damage has also been improved over a variety of areas. The goal is to make the breath of the dragon, which retains the feel of a classic shotgun, a longer range alternative.
Slugging grounds have earned important buffs with the goal of giving each shotgun a unique alternative playstyle. The Marine SP Slugs show a massive range improvement and, combined with better headshot damage, are a high-risk, highly reward-accurate weapon. The ASG-89 slug brings much higher damage and converts it into a mid-range semi-auto slugger. Finally, the Maelstrom Slugs have higher damage and range, resembling a slow-firing rifle.
Adjusting the shotgun attachment

- Burn damage increased from 25 to 30.
Marksman rifle
As mentioned in the General section, the semi-automarksman rifle has got a buff to help them compete with other weapon classes. Fire rate is the main tool here. This improves TTK and makes shots that you missed more generous.

- I increased my crouching speed to reduce the speed by 15%.
- We increased crouching to get faster, and ads increased by 39%.
- Increased directional sprint animation blends velocity to improve fluidity.

Ranked plays
Ranked plays continue in Season 03, followed by new rewards for billing and a new competitive integrity system to keep ranked plays fair for all competitors.
New Ranked Play Systems
- Retrospective SR adjustments
- A retroactive SR adjustment will be made from season 03 to help Cherter shock the ranked Play SR system.
- Once ranked play cheerleaders are banned, anyone who has been beaten recently will receive an SR refund for those matches.
- Players who detect that they play with con artists may have SRs because they have been stolen from their victory.
- A retroactive SR adjustment will be made from season 03 to help Cherter shock the ranked Play SR system.
- Rejoin the ongoing match
- Starting with Season 03, players can re-enter the ranked matches if they are disconnected.
- Players will take five minutes to re-enter the ongoing match and avoid stopping penalties or pauses. If a matchmade teammate rejoins and loses the match, the teammate reduces the loss of SR.
Resignation of Season 03 Rank
- Competitors who continue to conquer with ranked plays since season 02 will notice that their accounts may have retreated as outlined in previous notes.
- With each new season, you can rewind the rank based on where you ended the previous season, as follows:
- Ranked players in bronze or silver are not affected by seasonal regression and can be picked up where they have ended Season 02 without SR deduction.
- Gold or Platinum ranked players will start Season 03 with Gold or Platinum Tier I, respectively.
- Players from Diamond Rank onwards will start Season 03 with Diamond I.
- With each new season, you can rewind the rank based on where you ended the previous season, as follows:
Demoting Protection
- All of the Playross, ranked first 3rd for everyone in Season 03, become aggressive, and players can expect one free loss per day via daily loss forgiveness, like in Season 02.

Battle Pass
Memories are a powerful tool and even those who set out can change the course of history. The road to Verdansk involves unlocking some core memory, unforgettable weapons and new operators. Flashbacks to agent Jason Hudson bring him a familiar echo with his frontlines and can be unlocked by progressing within the battle pass. Joining him is a Mace, a metal-faced mercenary who will unlock war anytime, anywhere, instantly upon purchase of Battle Pass.
Season 03 Battle Pass includes over 110 lockable content (except Black Cells) including free earning potential weapons. Two new base weapons, a monolithic suppressor attachment, and more. Check out Blackcell, Battle Pass and Store Bundles Blog before Season 03 to find out more about what’s coming.
Console Cross Play
Season 03 offers more detailed options for console players by separating MP rank play and Call of Duty. Adds new multiplayer-only settings for Warzone ranked play settings, QuickPlay, features and party games matches.
Each of these three settings (playing multiplayer rank, playing Call of Duty: Warzone rank, and no multiplayer rank) includes the following options:
- Above: Allows matchmaking with all game platforms when playing in selected playlists.
- on (console only): Allows matchmaking only to other consoles when playing in the selected playlist.
- This can have a negative effect on matchmaking queue times.

Ranked plays
Now that Season 02 has officially concluded, ranked plays will be temporarily offline in the first half of Season 03.
The Season 03 Reload Update will bring ranked plays back online. Upon returning, all player ranks will be completely reset to bronze, offering everyone equal footing and excitement to climb ranks. Once Season 04 arrives, the standard soft reset will resume and bring players back in just a few ranks.

- The number of players in the Battle Royale Match increased from 120 to 150 players.
- There are 152 players in the Quads playlist.
I tilted my hat with this by running it on Season 02, which was reloaded, but it was all about serving a greater purpose. We formally go home with your friends and 150 enemies mixed together.
- Freefall shooting
- Players can use secondary weapons to shoot in freefall (also known as skydiving). If no secondary weapons are equipped, they will default to backup pistols.
We restore some of the strength of the early game to keep the toes away quickly leaving the intruding plane, allowing for more response during free falls.
- 360 degree revive rotation
- Instead of being locked in the squadmate’s collapsed position, players can rotate 360 degrees while reviving the squadmate.
- Endgame Circle Pacing
- Gas Circle Pacing remains true to the original timing and circle size and movement of gas closure. This means that battle royale matches will work longer and create a more clearly defined initial plunder topology.
I have good memories of the game that ends in the forest above the quarry or deep forests east or west of Verdansk. Be careful! This means that the circle can move very quickly if it gets caught deep outside as the gas begins to move. Respect the yen and you will continue to live.

- To regain the classic Werdansk vibe, the external ascender is disabled at launch, but is due to return mid-season.

The unsuppressed red dots are at the heart of Call of Duty: Warzone Experience, and during Verdansk’s development we paid close attention to assessing the intensity of the red dots on each map. This was previously a static value regardless of the play area. While reviewing these values, I felt that the red dots should be better matched to the small experience given the large and large map size of the regenerated island. These adjustments are based on both player feedback and design goals, ensuring that unsuppressed gunfire visibility matches the intended combat dynamics of each map.
Booty and the economy
Classic
- Floating booty
- The loot on the ground will again float in the air to improve vision and interaction.
The return of floating booty is the foundation of many of the improvements we are making this season for the interaction of looting. The floating loot itself will simply improve your ability to pick up or notice important items when you’re far away.
Adjustment
The return to Verdansk comes with some improvements to combat Royale’s booty philosophy.
To generate more intentionality regarding looting, various sources of looting have been tailored to be more reminiscent of the classic Verdansk era with some improvements.
- Ground route refresh
- Common to epic weapons, there is now a random selection of attachments that match the natural strength of the weapon.
- The legendary weapon comes with a variety of fixed builds tailored to your specific role. These are matches that were randomly selected during the match.
- This change is intended to maintain the excitement of random booty while maintaining the reliability of the weapon’s performance.
The looting of recent years has become a bit too static – blue (rare) tier weapons often provide the most precious attachment, lowering grand or legendary discoveries. This change is intended to have several different consequences for more commonly discovered weapons, and is highly sought after legendary weapons (or loadouts).
- High Value Loot Zone
- This season, HVLZS will remain consistent across every match, ensuring players can identify hospitals, military bases and superstores as points of interest (POIs) with ground looting and increased supply boxes.

- These boxes offer high quality weapons from consistent cash rewards and averages, and sometimes luxury equipment such as legendary weapons, killstrikes, gas masks and more.

Your life is important. In returning to Verdansk’s classic sense, we are back to a simpler set of second chance mechanics that are faithful to the original Battle Royale experience.
- Death Tax
- Cash reduced upon death is adjusted to help players return from Gulag, providing the majority of previous cash balances for recovery from the middle to the later game.
- 50% of your cash balance falls to the ground
- 50% will only be players removed from 20%
- Previously, 50% of cash balances had fallen on the ground, but players had completely removed 20% and 30% from the economy.
- Cash reduced upon death is adjusted to help players return from Gulag, providing the majority of previous cash balances for recovery from the middle to the later game.
After a few months of playtesting, we noted that it is almost impossible to recover in mid- to late games, so the intent of the design of this is to allow players to redeploy with a little more cash, in order to give them a small leg up when returning to the flow of the game.

- Interactions require more precise purpose to reduce accidental item pickup and require solving most unintended looting situations, such as accidentally picking up items during reloading.
- Overview of rarity
- The rarity overview gradually appears in vision only when the player is logically close, rather than visible at all distances.
- Root card positioning
- The root cards are concentrated on items to improve readability, especially when combined with floating loot.
- The booty card remains at a fixed height, rather than moving in the player’s view.
- When a player runs a lethal, slide, or use to the player, the looting card is hidden.
The root card has a context prompt. For example, if a player has an empty weapon slot, the weapon’s loot card prompt will show “equipment” but if the player has two weapons equipped, the prompt will show “swap”.

- The vertical list is back! The Buy Station interface is streamlined, returning to the vertical list layout, providing a more clear view of available items and teammates to be relocated.

Our aim is to recapture the classic battle royale that reminiscent of the performance at Verdansk five years ago. The adjustments to the purchasing station reflect this vision, featuring updated prices that reduce the selection of items available for purchase and tailored to the game’s new economic balance. The goal is for players to experience an economy like Call of Duty: Warzone in 2020. There, strategic cash management becomes essential for gameplay decisions.

- We introduced a single button shortcut on the purchasing station, allowing players to redeploy all their teammates at the same time.
- The Redeploy All button is performed by pressing one button, but individual flares and sound effects are triggered with each redeployment of a teammate, warning you of the total number of players returning to nearby enemies.
- In under-financed scenarios, it prevents the entire team from buying back, so Redeploy All Feature prioritizes teammates carrying the highest cash amount.
We recognize the urgency to quickly relocate teammates under pressure, especially when attempting to play in heavy combat. After careful consideration, we determined that prioritizing our teammates with the best cash would be the most closely matched the most prominent behavior we observed.

The introduction of the Omni-Movement System in Black Ops 6 revolutionized gameplay and became the basis for the player movement in Call of Duty: Warzone. The system launched with multiplayer-inspired values, but we recognize that adjustments are needed to better adjust the dynamics of the movement.
Season 03 focuses on tweaking the movement of Black Ops 6 players by ensuring a balance of fluidity and responsiveness. Here are some adjustments to how the movement works:

- Crouch’s movement speed has been reduced by 10%
- Crouching speed increased by 15%
- Crouching speed while ads increase by 39%
- Trending movement speed has been reduced by 5%
- Sprint movement speed has been reduced by 4.9%

These values keep Black Ops 6 fluidity while bringing the speed of Call of Duty: Warzone’s movement closer to the spirit of original experience. It is difficult to express in patch notes, so players are encouraged to put these tweaked changes into practice. The proof is in the pudding!

- Cooldown reduced by 40% to improve responsiveness during repeated jumps.
- Omni Sprint Side and Back Speed Scaling
- A reduction of 8.5% to improve the balance of movement in Strafe.
- Slide friction
- Increased by 4% to reduce excessively slippery engagement.
These adjustments address the dominant force of straf engagement while maintaining the fluidity of mechanisms such as sprinting, struff reloading, and general navigation. The responsiveness of the entire athletic system ensures smoother gameplay and better balance for faster-paced encounters in Call of Duty: Warzone. This brings back the sense of the classic Warzone experience we all know and love.

- Replacing Intel contracts, Recon Contract provides players with a 4-minute time frame and captures specified control points.
- Rewards for completion include cash and previews of the next circle.
- Supply Run
- The much-loved “Supply Run” contract is returned! The player has two minutes to reach the designated purchasing station to earn rewards, including cash and single item fire sales for each squad member of the targeted purchasing station.
- Supplyrun contracts will not appear on the map until the first circle completely collapses.
Once the “supply execution” contract is restored, we want to ensure that revenue fits within the gameplay loop and economy. This adjustment, available from the second circle, allows the contract to be more focused on travel and vehicles.

- Returning from the Verdansk era, contract multipliers strengthen cash rewards as players complete more contracts.
- Each completed contract gives you a +30% cash bonus and stacks up to 150% additional cash rewards in both Battle Royale and Resurrection modes.
Stacking contracts completed in the early game is a great way to improve your chances if you need to recover from the middle to late game to give you later financial rewards, as the multiplier continues throughout the subsequent game.

- All contracts return to their original tablet model, offering players a nostalgic experience.

- Contract Spawn Fees are adjusted throughout the Base Battle Royale, enhancing distribution and improving gameplay balance.

- The payments on the contract are not exactly matched, but have been updated to more closely match the values reminiscent of the Verdansk era.
- Supply run and reconnaissance contract payments are standardized to match the scavenger contract values for both Battle Royale and Resurrection modes.
- Once you complete the most necessary contract, your power cache will no longer drop.
- Payments for looting-specific contracts are adjusted for consistency between modes.

- In Season 03, Thermite returns as a special vehicle and area rejection tool, reflecting its initial use in Verdansk.
- Unlike previous versions, Thermite no longer guarantees that it will kill you when pasting your opponent. However, use less than two armor plates to deal ample damage to down players.
- Like the C4, the vehicle explodes instantly when health reaches zero from its health tick.

- Eliminated players will consistently drop at least one armor plate in Battle Royale and Resurrection matches.

Armor is your first line of defense and measures how freely you are engaged. Recently, the supply of armor is so abundant that the enemy can strengthen their armor several times in the middle of a fight, losing the concept of “downtime” or the need for resupply. This has a big impact on the pace of the game and also changes how it rotates to the next safe zone.
To maintain a balanced gameplay, the armor is abundant and ensures players experience meaningful downtime and strategic decisions between engagements. This brings the feel of the gameplay back to a more classic experience and highlights the value of armor replenishment.
- Gulag Armor is not ranked
- In the unranked battle royale mode, Gulag features health-only combat, focusing on precision and tactical movements reminiscent of the classic Gulag experience.
- Improved color of armor plates Quality of life
- Armored plate colours received improvements to darken the hue of the colours if the player does not have full plates. Once the player is full, the colors remain in the familiar, bright shades. This is better shown to the player if the player has almost complete plates.

You cannot properly return home without welcoming the heartbeat sensor. It’s not as infinite as its excellent predecessor, but I understand that one minute of battery time is not enough to effectively utilize it.

- Interactive icons (White Dots) appear on playable field upgrades to better emphasize that they can be re-equipped.

- To get back to Verdansk’s classic sense, the Precision Air Strike Mini-Map notification added last year has been removed.
I’ve returned to its purpose to remove the approximate path indicator for Precision Airstrike on the Mini Map to get back to how it worked in 2020 and surprise the enemies. As we look into the next few weeks, we will monitor feedback, data and emotions about this.

The game has evolved continuously with the addition of new features, systematic enhancements, economic adjustments and philosophical changes in balance. These improvements will help you better understand what is effective and where further improvements are needed.
Call of Duty: Warzone is designed to provide the essence of Call of Duty Battle Royale, combining exceptional and accurate guns within a strategic, intense “limited life” scenario. This core principle remains intact, but certain distractions sometimes affect the intensity of intended pacing and gameplay.
It is built on recent adjustments, including reducing armored reserves to improve economic pacing, and introduces serious buffs into weapon damage. Initially, these enhancements will focus on the Black Ops 6 catalog and then expand to legacy weapons.
Our goal with these changes is to increase the lethality of any encounter, revitalize overlooked weapon classes, and encourage players to adopt more thoughtful and intentional strategies for engagement.

With Verdansk’s return, they are trying to capture the original essence of Warzone’s vehicle. In collaboration with friends at Treyarch, we are tuned to the interactions of movement, health, damage resistance, and equipment, and getting much closer to our original vision.
I know no one wants a thin-paper vehicle. We also know that the vehicle is more enjoyable if the vehicle can efficiently reach point A to B. However, vehicles reminiscent of the past have a suitable counter.
The chart below serves as a high level of lethality view of equipment to the vehicle. As the vehicle becomes more responsive, you need a stronger, more memorable instantaneous guidance counter.

A quick look at the full attachment setup of the weapon will help players better understand the build, especially the weapons they picked up from the ground. We are using inspection interfaces to help with onboarding and investigate other ways to better explain player loadout descriptions. Keep listening to feedback so that this improvement can be useful without any confusion.

- We’ve expanded the Death Summary widget to provide more detailed information on how you were eliminated. In addition to showing attacker counting and dealing damage, the widget highlights the important conditions that contributed to your death.
- Affected by live ping: Indicates whether the enemy pinged you.
- Impacted by UAV: Indicates whether it was revealed in the minimap by a UAV, UAV Tower, or Advanced UAV.
- Unsuppressed weapons are affected: Fire an unsuppressed weapon to indicate whether you are exposing your position to nearby enemies.
- During the first few days of the new season, players will notice that the team is working and working to update the wording while the “unsuppressed weapon” says “ping weapons.”
- We’ve expanded the Death Summary widget to provide more detailed information on how you were eliminated. In addition to showing attacker counting and dealing damage, the widget highlights the important conditions that contributed to your death.

- End your preferred loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone Gunsmith and set it to favorites in the Loadout options, and your loadouts will be prioritized and will be moved to the top of your list for easier access.
