War, that’s everything we seem to be talking about recently, but this time World War I only comes to the virtual world. This modern war RTS by Steel Balalaika Studio was announced in 2019 and missed the original 2024 release date, but this journey is almost over.
Broken Arrow is scheduled to be announced on June 19th, but Vanguard Edition owners can already jump into the action on Monday. Broken Arrow features up to 10 participants in both single-player and multiplayer modes.
The show’s star is definitely a campaign, covering 19 handmade missions. Set in a fictional conflict between the US and Russia over the Baltic countries, the campaign offers experiences of each level through the perspectives of the US and Russia.
Mix it with around 300 different vehicle models and the deck building system, an improvement to Eugen’s Wargame and Warno, and it can break a lot of renewable potential.
Broken Arrow Developer FAQ
With Broken Arrow expected to be the last developer’s diary posted before it was released to Vanguard Edition owners on Monday, the Steel Balalaika team revealed some points about the pre-order bonuses and the future of the game.
Game Edition
According to the developers, The standard version of the game can only be purchased from June 19th. $49.99. Anyone who wants to get a game ahead of launch will have access to the Vanguard Edition, which sells for $59.99. This special edition is only available before the game release.
The Vanguard Edition comes with a gaming soundtrack, exclusive skins, wallpapers and most importantly, a 3-day head start to play the game. Vanguard Edition owners will have access to 16:00 GMT on Monday and will have a full release on the 19th.
Technology, technology, babes
As mentioned earlier on the Broken Arrow Steam page, Games require 85GB of disk space. This is a huge download that brings you closer to modern AAA games, but unlike them, Steel Balalaika says there is no preload option.
The gap between minimum and recommended requirements is immeasurable, so there is still confusion about the specs needed to run the game well.
For example, with an NVIDIA GPU, the minimum requirement is GTX 1650, and the recommended field lists RTX 3080. The GTX1650 is by no means awful card, but it’s similar to comparing the Ferrari to his mother’s trustworthy old Toyota Corora.
Rather than supporting multiple upscaling technologies at once, Developers have chosen to go all-in with AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). The reason for this is that it works on all GPU models, unlike Nvidia’s DLSS.
Despite the popularity of the game, help you reach the top of the Steam Wishlist chart in the RTS segment. SteelBalalaika is not planning to start any Linux or MacOS games. However, the developers say the game should be available on GeForce with “As soon as possible!”
It’s war
The Broken Arrow campaign will be available upon release and will be semi-dynamic. Depending on the action and result, you can choose the order in which certain parts of the action are played. The game also comes with a scenario editor that allows players to create their own missions. Developers do not plan to add a map editor.
Broken Arrow will be released on June 19th. You can get the latest war corrections here.
