Bloober Insists It Didn’t Forget About Silent Hill 2 PS5 Pro Fixes

When the PS5 Pro console was launched, Bloober Team released the Silent Hill 2 patch, applying extensions to Sony’s most powerful console. Unfortunately, the patch caused problems, and even the hotfix released shortly after it failed to address all the graphical issues.

The studio is set up with a new horror game to be released later this year, so it’s been months since most people heard something about it.

Silent Hill 2 PS5 Pro Issues will be fixed by future updates by Bloober

The Bloober team confirmed with Eurogamer that this patch fixes issues with the PS5 Pro are still in development. According to Bloober, “We work with publishers on solutions and we’ll share the details as soon as we get them.”

Unfortunately, there is no timetable given for when this update can be expected, so it could be released next month or perhaps in the coming months.

For now, the Base PS5 version is a great version to play given that it doesn’t have the same performance issues as the PS5 Pro. On the game’s subreddit, players also talked about it. One user points out that Bloober’s “fix” for the PS5 Pro issue is to remove PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) from performance mode. Quality modes are still broken unless you are inside a building or structure. Otherwise, playing outside on a misty street is a “flattering mess.”

Konami has not confirmed whether the remake of Silent Hill 3 will be shown, but the publisher has confirmed that they are working on a new game again with the Bloober team.

As for the Bloober team, the studio is working hard to perfect the development of the new horror game Cronos: The New Dawn. There is no release date for the settings, but it has been confirmed that it will be released this year on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
