One of the biggest selling points of GamePass is playing the latest release on the first day, but there is also an incredible library of classic Xbox games available.
These titles offer gamers the opportunity to descend memory lanes and experience classic games for the first time. For example, everyone is talking about the remake of Forgetfulness, what about the original release? Or Morrowind? Next is the Gears of War game, which will help you prepare for the upcoming release of E-Day.
With that in mind, we wondered: What are the best classic Xbox games available in Game Pass? Sadly, some great titles are not available, but they are still worth checking out.
As a heads-up, the game must be at least 10 years old to be considered “classic.”

Halo: Master Chief Collection
Finish the battle. Also.
Is it cheating to include the entire Master Chief Collection? Perhaps, however, it’s difficult to choose one entry from the Halo franchise.
Whether it’s the original trilogy and play with friends, come back to online multiplayer, or the incredible Halo: Reach campaign, the Master Chief Collection is a must-see for Halo fans.
It’s also a great entry point for those who have never had the opportunity to experience a franchise in the past.
Sadly, Halo wasn’t as popular as it once was, but after playing the Master Chief Collection, you’ll be deeply grateful for these games.

Gear of War
Mad World
It might be a hot take to say that the original Gear of War is the best in the franchise, but that’s what I feel strongly about.
No other games match your campaigns, gameplay, or multiplayer experience. That’s what Gear of War was Xbox 360 killer app. It was a genuine system seller and helped guide the trends of third-person cover shooters in the late 2000s.
I’d like to talk a bit about the multiplayer experience. There was nothing similar to that. The curb to end your enemies blew me away. I never creeped up to anyone holding a Lancer chainsaw.
All of this brutal behavior was combined with a strategic, team-oriented experience that I couldn’t wait to come back to life again. This time there is no advantage to hosting.
Close and close the jaw of forgetting
This seems obvious given the success of the remastered runaway with Forgetting remastered. Yes, the game was also launched on the PC, but it felt more like an Xbox game than anything else.
Oblivion, a former console exclusive to the Xbox 360, is not the first Elder Scrolls game to be released on the Xbox console. That being said, it is the first to invade the mainstream thanks to its aggressive marketing campaign.
Gears of War was still considered a killer app, but Oblivion was the first mandatory game of the 360. The game came across hype.
Whether you’re in your original state or experiencing it with a new remaster, Forgetfulness continues to be one of the best open worlds ever made.

Sunset Overdrive
Forgotten classics
Sunset Overdrive feels like a fever dream, not something that actually happened. It was released in 2014 before Sony acquired Insomniac Games, and the well-known developers brought iconic style to the Xbox One.
The gameplay is the best insomnia, borrowing elements from iconic games like Jet Set Radio, Tony Hawk and more. It’s a great Hodge Podge with great action, shooting, platforms and rail grinding.
Unfortunately, Sunset Overdrive was released during the dark times for the Xbox brand. The 2010s weren’t exactly a bright spot, and the Xbox One crash was so low that the best game was third-party multi-platform releases.
Still, despite this, Sunset Overdrive is a bright spot in the dark times for Team Xbox. Fearing to travel down memory lanes, check it out someday.

The Red Sky: The Road to Revenge
A real hidden gem
This is the deep red sky. When Xbox Live was still in its early stages, most people sat down and waited to log in and play Halo online. It was attached to Halo 2 at the time, but before that, the crimson sky came out of nowhere to keep us entertained.
Seriously, I don’t know where this game came from. I remember being told I should borrow it (I clearly show my age here), and playing the weekend. I did exactly that and boy, Howdy, I was pleased with the decision.
Xbox Exclusive is an excellent arcade style aerial combat game that mixes Rogue Squadron Games gameplay with excellent 1930s presentations. The campaign was great, but the multiplayer community was thriving. It’s cliché to say you had to be there, but let me say: you had to be there.
If you’re looking for an arcade style action game, you can play in one day, jump on the game pass and download Crimson Sky.

f story 2
I need a hero
The original F story was a very good action RPG and had no chance to live up to its impossible expectations.
Fable 2 expands things and makes it a much better experience. Although you haven’t come close to Peter Mollineau’s lofty expectations yet, it’s a great behavioral RPG that responds to your actions.
I remember the first time I heard me gossip about me. They were judging my actions. I repented to play a “evil” character for the first time.
That’s a feeling I’ve never had in the game before. Few others can match what Fable offers. I hope that future reboots will be available. For those who want to prepare it, take your own favor and say 2

Mass Effect
Bioware best at best
Microsoft released the original Mass Effect before EA bought Bioware. This counts in Game Pass’s list of classic Xbox games.
What should I say about Mass Effect, which has not been said yet? Yes, Mako is absolute trash and should be shot by the sun. Nevertheless, the fun third-person cover shooter gameplay, excellent storyline and iconic characters mix make it very memorable.
It’s rough with yankees around the edges, but that’s part of its appeal. When I’m thoroughly entertained, I want to put up with frustrating gameplay elements (see Backup and Reference Forgetting). That’s what happens here. The biggest reason is the depth of the character.
2007 was a time when not all games had enough content to last a lifetime. In other words, mass effects are a streamlined experience of pace. However, if you’re looking for more meat on the bone, you can chat with your team, develop relationships, and explore random planets.

Ninja Gaiden
Master Ninja
The 2004 Xbox Exclusive has seen several re-releases over the years. There’s the original game from 2005, the 2005 Ninja Gaiden Black, then the version available in Game Pass, Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
Every version of the game has its pros and cons, but honestly, any choice is undoubtedly correct. Following the obvious surprises of the Ninja Gaiden 2 Black earlier this year and the upcoming surprises of the Ninja Gaiden 4, this is a great opportunity to head down the Memory Lane, preparing for the glorious return of the Ninja Gaiden franchise.
Yes, there is a side to the game that feels outdated today, but that should be expected from games that have been around for over 20 years. The 2004 Ninja Gaiden is still a masterpiece today.
Fast-paced, cruelly difficult, and incredibly satisfying actions have stood the test of time. I can’t believe how well this game still works today. If for any reason, you’ve never played it before, give it a try. You will never regret it.
