How to enter character design codes in Monster Hunter Wild

Start a new game Or use a character editing voucher Enter the full character editor in Monster Hunter Wild. Once you’re a character creator, tab the icon in the menu that looks like a small notepad labeled “Design” and select the option “Download Design.”

This will prompt you with a pop-up window where you can enter a character editor. Here, all you have to do is enter the code. Each code is case sensitive and uses a string of 12 numbers and letters.

The game automatically loads character designs associated with the code and offers several options. If you want to save this design, select the Save Design option. It resides under the Save/Load menu under the Design menu. Otherwise, simply click Change Appearance and the Hunter will have a new preloaded appearance.

From there you can freely use the characters. Alternatively, you can continue editing your design to your liking.

How to create character design code in Monster Hunter Wild

Uploading character designs and writing code is a bit more complicated than the menu looks. Please check before proceeding Have a voucher to edit at least one character Before you begin. All players will get one free voucher for the character editor upon launch, and additional vouchers will be sold as a paid add-on. It doesn’t need to be used, but it basically works like a key that lets you upload your designs. (This is because the game cannot upload designs of characters that are not saved.)

Select the slot that opens and select the (Upload Design) option. This will prompt you to create a window to write code that allows other users to load that character.

passthecontroller tested this on the PlayStation 5 and was able to use the voucher to access this screen and write code to share the characters. I then discarded the character changes as I didn’t use the voucher, but I successfully shared the character design like this. In other words, vouchers allow you to access the screen and share your characters after creating saved data, but you don’t need to use them if you don’t make any changes.
