With the expected release of Dune on May 20, 2025, it’s time to step into Arakis alongside fellow Dune heads. 5 days of “advanced access” For both Deluxe & Ultimate Edition buyers.


And there seems to be more practical reasons for advanced access.

“It certainly allows people to get into the game faster, but it also helps them to balance the load on the server.” – Joel Byros, Creative Director, Dune: Awakening

Director Joel Byros confirmed the live service on Funcom’s YouTube channel The game does not have a paid subscription service model Like World of Warcraft.

After purchasing a base game for $50, you can expect plenty of free updates to go your way through its lifespan.

However, the game receives optional paid DLC along with free updates available individually or on the Season Pass.

It’s not surprising that live service games need to make money, but this approach gives players more flexibility in how they’re involved in the game’s content and allows them to choose which DLC suits their playstyle.

Pre-order bonuses and special edition perks have also been revealed. Includes season passes for the following four DLCs In both Deluxe and Ultimate Edition.

Dune wakes up the previous order

Pre-orders for the standard version are Desert mouse terrarium and unique color samples.

The Dune series has been widely respected for decades. The recent adaptation of the film from director Dennis Villeneuve has rekindled the fan base along with millions of newcomers like myself increasingly craving the goodness of the dunes.

Does the game explore what’s what? Although the main character, Paul Atladies, has never been born, it is a scenario that still includes many of the favorite characters of the same fan of the book and film.

So grab some mates or jump on a solo to reveal the mystery of this strange yet familiar world May 20th, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox.
