Potential announcement at Summer Game Fest on June 6th.
Last week we reported on how Arc Raiders community members think they’ve come across the game’s release date thanks to Game’s Alpha client. Developer Embark has yet to announce anything, but it suggests that more evidence will be released soon.
This time it’s the turn of the Xbox Series X | S version, as recent discoveries suggest that the game is due to be released soon.
It appears Ambark is preparing to release Arc Raiders
On Twitter/X, user Scrappy mentions that Arc Raiders downloads are available on Xbox via the Xbox app. Users can now install small files that are likely to be placeholders for preloads that are scheduled to be released soon.
People in the Arc Raiders community say that this preload file is not available on the PS5 at the moment.
This will not allow players to load the game (and the servers are offline too), but this is a good indicator that development is on track and should be announced soon. The release date announcement is likely to take place at Summer Game Fest starting June 6th (next week!), with the first day unlocking and revealing a massive amount of announcements.
Given the state of the Alpha test, you wouldn’t be surprised if the game was cast on the same day as its release date.
If you’re new to the Ark Raiders, it’s a studio-made extraction shooter and developed Final, a free-to-play game for hits. Although Arc Raiders is not an F2P experience, it is not even priced as a full premium game, lowering the entry barrier for most people.
Our preview states, “The Ark Raiders have everything they need to prove that the extraction shooters aren’t all repeated escapes from the Tarkov clones. The only thing left is to get out there and reveal that its long-term business model matches what the player base wants.”
Arc Raiders has been confirmed to be a hit on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC this year, so don’t be surprised if it’s available right away.
