Apple has announced that the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will kick off on June 9th.
The event will be held online from June 9th to 13th, but the live stream of the big keynote speech on June 9th will include any floods related to Apple’s regular software.
Although Apple has not confirmed the updates specifically announced at WWDC25, annual events typically feature major software releases for each platform, including IOS, MacOS, WatchOS, and Vision.
I don’t know what Visionos 3 contains, Bloomberg A report earlier this month claims that Apple is planning a “feature-packed release.”
It’s a safe bet that, like the Visionos 2 announced at WWDC24, is gaining more productivity-focused features, but Apple could potentially announce a rumoured partnership with Sony to bring PSVR 2 controller support to Vision Pro.
Apple’s $3,500 mixed reality headset was specifically shipped without a motion controller. This forced developers to either adapt their existing XR apps to Vision Pro’s hand and eye tracking capabilities or focus on starting a new project from scratch.
As in the past few years, the WWDC25 will be free to developers and students, but Apple is holding an in-person event on June 9th at Cupertino-based Apple Park. This includes access to Apple professionals and special activities. Space is limited, so check out how to apply it here.
