fromsoftware inexplicably teased the “enhanced battle” against the Big Boss of Eldenling Night Grain, which is scheduled to arrive later this month. However, one modder has already found real building blocks for a new battle, making their fight playable in the process.
On June 3rd, the official Eldenling account confirmed that Nightreign will win a “enhanced battle with existing Night Roads” starting this month, along with Nightreign’s DLC (arrived later this year) and upcoming Duo Expeditions options. No further details were shared, but it clearly acted as a butt signal for people to start digging.
Modder Terramag (discovered by PC Gamer) has built a mod so that you can find and access boss content in the game now. Importantly, these are unfinished versions based on the extension set already found in the file.
In particular, what Terramag finds (and has been recorded so far in YouTube videos) appears to be the third phase of many night roads, including Adel, Libra, and Caligo. These can introduce new moves, new models for bosses, and new ways to annihilate Nightfarrers.
Of course, these are unfinished and not officially implemented, so that’s just a glimpse into what I did it It will be when the enhanced battle arrives later this month. However, for those already tired of existing boss runs, this could be a decent challenge.
