Vision Pro is Getting Official Support for PSVR 2 Motion Controllers and New Logitech Stylus

Apple has announced the Visionos 26. This is a new naming scheme for the next big update that will be coming to Vision Pro later this year. The list of new features in Vision Pro is something we’ve been waiting for: actual support for VR input devices, such as motion controllers and spatially tracked stylus.

In 2023, Apple said there is no plan to create or support VR controllers in Vision Pro, but that is about to change.

Previous rumors that Apple claimed to be preparing to support the PSVR 2 motion controller are now official: Visionos 26 brings the PSVR 2 Sense controller, allowing developers to start building (or porting) VR games to the platform.

This should pave more pathways to bringing in a number of games that were not or rather not possible Reasonably –Supports hand tracking only interactions.

While it is primarily for gamers, Apple has also announced that it will support Logitech Muse, a new spatial input device built for Vision Pro, which allows for “precise input and new ways to interact with collaborative apps such as Spatial Analogue.”

Logitech calls Muse “a digital pencil that enhances the way users work, create and collaborate.”

The company also confirmed that Muse features 6DOF tracking, physical buttons, tactile and gesture recognition, and can be drawn and annotated by users both in space and surfaces thanks to pressure detection tips.

According to Logitech, more information about Muse, including pricing and compatible apps, will be shared later this year before it will be sold on both Logitech and Apple.
