Fight the FOMO: Odds are you don’t need a Nintendo Switch 2 right now

So, it’s a busy week in the video game world, right? The Nintendo Switch 2 finally landed in the hands of gamers around the world, eight years after the first Switch revolutionized the game. The Switch 2 is not that innovative, and Nintendo has chosen to create an upgrade of its predecessor rather than completely overhauling what could become a bestseller console to date. Still, it hasn’t stopped many OG Switch owners from wanting to get a sweaty palm on their latest shiny new toy (with their hands raised).

But we do need That’s now? Probably not.

But what about Mario Kart World?

Mario Kart World There is no similar runway before. If there is a reason (game) to justify picking up Switch 2, there will be plenty of time to eat mushrooms in the future.

Now, what is considered a “systems seller” will of course be different for everyone. Mario Kart World Maybe your system seller, and I understand why – great party games, seriously, cows? I love it. if The Legend of Pokemon: ZA It was announced for Switch 2 only, but this is a completely different story. I’ll now open the switch 2 and hope it wasn’t a standard in it. Still, the game I look forward to most is here because it is playable on my Switch OLED. sorry, Donkey Kong BananzaYour exclusiveness doesn’t shake me up in a way that allows for hypothetical Pokemon exclusiveness.

Currently, the actual draw for Switch 2 is the role of a port machine for all games that the original Switch could not run. I definitely do pew pugh while out Star Wars Outlaw Switch 2 will be fun Divided fiction It feels like it’s perfect for the Nintendo general. atmosphere. But if you’re a multi-platform gamer, it’s possible that you’ve been chosen not to play those games or check them out on your PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox series.

All of this goes without saying about how to adopting a console at launch, in a sense, choose to be something like a beta tester while the bugs are crushed. Mario Kart World For everything we knew, we could have sucked it! (That’s not the case, and it actually sounds like it controls. But even then. principle. )

Stopping FOMO, remember that Switch 2 will be here for the next few years. It will soon be easier to buy than the PS5S and Xbox Series XS were deeply involved in the release cycle. General uncertainty in the global economy and ongoing US tariff situations, it is still unclear whether it will ultimately be cheaper, but the $450 price tag is steep enough. Plus, reaching out the Switch 2 and its future monopolies will give you more opportunities to tackle an endless backlog. So don’t forget to enjoy what you already have. Because the sparkle of that shiny new toy will eventually disappear.
