Avowed Update Adds Arachnophobia Safe Mode, Improved Reactivity, and Much More

Obsidian entertainment has progressed Outer World 2 But that support avowed It’s just beginning. New updates are available. This will replace the spider with a “small sphere that wields a sword” and add an Arachnophobia Safe Mode.

Other notable features include the ability to kill creatures (dropping loot), mist fog on the map after exploring almost all accessible areas, and radius of fog clearance during exploration. You can also wait to spend the day and night at party camp. There is also a new setting that displays chests on the minimap and cancels bow and Arquebus power attacks.

And for those who compare it to the old Bethesda title, yes, the arrows hit the ground naturally, rather than sailing to forget. It also shows that its reactivity from water has improved. Those using RTX 40 and 50 series GPUs can also enable DLSS frame generation.

Features and improvements

Arachnophobia Safe Mode

  • The highly requested Arachnophobia mode is now available in Avowed! You can enable this option in the Accessibility menu to replace all the spiders in the game with a small sword-wielding sphere. It should be noted that the appearance is “friendly” but remains just as deadly.

Community highlights

  • When players explore almost all of the accessible areas on the map, the entire map of war fog is automatically cleared.
  • Entering a city on a land map (for example, entering North Paradis on Dawnshore) reveals the corresponding section of the land map.
  • The radius to clean the fog during exploration increases significantly, allowing players to reveal more maps as they move.
  • Creatures are killed and there is an opportunity to drop the booty.
  • Players can wait to spend time while they are in party camp (day/night cycle).
  • With the exception of the entrance to Ryngrim, which requires Yatzli interaction, soul pod throwables the illusion.
  • Added a setting option to display chests in minimap.
  • Added a configuration option to cancel power attacks with bows and Arquebus.

Improve global reactivity

  • The arrows will naturally fall and hit the ground.
  • When a player enters or lights a weapon, the water reacts to splashes and ripples.

Adjusting the economy and the loot

  • Creatures now drop loot when killed.
  • Added more weapons to loot throughout the game. This includes pre-upgraded (+1, +2, +3 versions).
  • Increased financial rewards for main pass quests and exploration.
  • Small booty containers such as backpacks and lockboxes can now contain larger items such as body armor and large weapons, leading to more fair and dispersed drops.
  • Significantly increased the decline rate of creature parts (can also be used to upgrade Grimoire).
  • Increased the rate of decline in high-rise weapons in later regions.
  • The updated route list is intended to include slightly upgraded materials.

UI/UX improvements

  • Added visual effects and UI indicators to help players find fellow comrades during battle.
  • The “Talk” interaction prompt for friends has been enabled.
  • Added support for mouse and keyboard input to Xbox.
  • Updated road screen art for Dawnshore and Fort North Reach Maps.
  • I added the “Auto-Detect” option to the graphics menu to find and set recommended hardware settings.
  • NVIDIA DLSS frame generation support (RTX 40 and 50 series GPUs).
  • Added a “Read All” button to the journal. Each tab (quest, documentation, tutorial) has its own dedicated button.

Combat Update

  • The enemy is now shocked quickly while standing in the water.
  • You can now upgrade Grimoire using creature parts.

Improve your companion

  • Companions earn ability points every 3 levels, increasing their maximum value from 8 to 11. Players will automatically receive additional points on updates.

The enemy’s actions

  • The speed of enemy recognition is dynamically adjusted based on the distance from the player. Closer enemies will detect players faster, while farther enemies will respond more slowly.

Update a unique item

  • Updated stats for many unique items throughout the game:
    – 1/3 Brigandine Jacket: Improved regeneration rate.
    – Civilization Impact: Increased reduction in damage to beasts, primitives, and Wilders has now reached 10%.
    – Blessed Ward of Berat: Increase in damage reductions to ships increased to 20%.
    – Chitin Band: Reduction in damage to the animal has increased to 20%.
    – Nimanna Ward: Increase in loss reductions to spirits increased to 20%.
    – Wild Walkering and Faithful Thread: Increase in Health Regeneration has increased from 0.05 to 0.5.
    – 1/3 Brigandine Jack: Increase in health regeneration increased from 0.05 to 0.8.
    – Faith and Belief: Increased essence regeneration from 0.05 to 0.1.

Enchanting Rework

  • Replaces the outdated carry capacity enchantments for certain unique items with a new stat buff:
    – Bricklayer/Porter Boots: +2 Possibility
    – Animancer’s Swallow / Stelgaer-hide Pouch: +2 Deft
    – Pack Mule’s Burden / Honorable Mule: +1 Might, +2 Constitution
    -Tranton Family Brigandine/Tranton tenacity: Possibility of +2
    – March Brigandine Jack/Grimm Hope: +3 Solved
    – March Boots/Explorer Benefits: +3 Constitution, +10% Movement Speed

Key bug fixes

  • There is a limited CPU usage in the Compile Shader screen to improve stability of all CPUs.
  • Fixed an issue where shadows of past waypoints could be stuck at the beginning of the trail at the entrance to Nak Kubel.
  • The totem piece will correctly enter the player’s inventory, instead of party stashes at pickup.
  • Resolved a case in which certain totem effects stopped working after a conversation or cutscene.
  • Minoletta’s conduits now interact correctly with the ability to master the cane.
  • Fixed an issue where companions could be removed from the party, resulting in broken conversations and quests.
  • The enemy vital UI is updated to remain properly positioned on top of the enemy at all times, preventing occasional clipping.
  • The Ringrim domain statue remains easy to interact now, even if it had previously interacted without fully proceeding with the quest.
  • Unjust End Quests trigger the final goal correctly and are no longer stuck under rare conditions.
  • Complete a particular quest with an old save will properly count towards achieving pentiment.
  • Fixed an issue where armor suitable for Wilds Quest could get stuck in the “Collect Materials” stage.
  • The FidelityFX 3 option has been re-added to the graphics settings of AMD graphics card users.
  • Binding the scroll wheel to hotbar slots 1-6 now works properly after restarting the game.
  • Binding ability slots to keys 7, 8, 9, or 0 no longer cast unintended additional features from the radial menu.
  • Players will no longer encounter crazy dreamthroughs outside of students.

Additional bug fixes

Crash and stability

  • To improve the stability of all CPUs, CPU usage is limited during the compilation shader screen.
  • Fixed an unusual hang that caused the entire PC to freeze on some machines.
  • Fixed a rare crash when moving between maps.
  • Fixed a long-term crash that could occur after idling on Dawnshore.
  • Fixed a rare crash related to audio systems.
  • Resolved rare crashes related to radial UI and food.

Performance and Optimization

  • Optimized wand attack.
  • Improved performance of “Meteor Shower” capabilities
  • Volcanic eruption cutscene optimized
