Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Got More Positive Test Audience Reviews Than First Game – Kojima

Released on June 26th Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Getting closer, Cojima revealed that the game’s test reviews were quite positive. Speaking to Edge Magazine (via VGC), Kojima said the audience test reviews for the upcoming game were even more positive than what they saw in the original Death strategy.

Kojima also spoke about how he uses feedback from PlayTests, noting that while he is paying attention to feedback on the mechanical aspects of camera controls like A, he does not change the game’s story or theme to make it appealing to everyone.

“If the controls need to be tweaked, or if the camera pans too slow or too fast, we listen to criticism, but we don’t change the theme or story based on feedback,” Kojima said. “Of course I want people to play my game so I have to listen to them to some extent. But I’m not interested in creating something that appeals to everyone.”

He also spoke about what he considers successful in terms of acceptance from the test audience, doubled the fact that he is not interested in appealing to almost everyone. Kojima is considering four out of 10 players who consider the game to be “well-balanced.” He also doesn’t want to make games like blockbuster movies, so he hopes his work is at least considered “a little more controversial.”

“In fact, I did a lot of surveillance tests for the original. Death strategy. I realize that 4 out of 10 people love the game, but 6 would say it was a terrible game. For me, I think it’s a good balance. But the playtest for death stands 2: At the beach, everyone seems positive. ”

“Of course, Sony is happy, but I hope it was a little more controversial. A blockbuster movie needs an 80% approval rating. I don’t want to make a game like that. I’m not interested in appealing to the mass market or selling millions of copies.

Kojima also says that he can’t release a game that no one wants. Ultimately, you have to take great care of the business side of the game, such as running a studio and paying staff. “Of course I can’t afford to fail either,” he said. “We have to take care of our studios, our staff and our production budget. But essentially, we don’t want to replicate what’s already in the world. We want to create something new.”

Kojima Productions is preparing to release it beyond the PS5. Death Stranding 2: On the Beachthe company recently announced that it will be taking tours to 12 different cities from around the world to celebrate its launch. The tour, which will be held in Los Angeles on June 8th, will continue through November and end in Lucca. In the meantime, check out what Kojima had to say about adding a day/night cycle Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
