Upcoming MMORPG Bitcraft Makes Bold Move With Latest Announcement

Bitcraft Online creates MMORPGs that allow players to build their own towns, and creates them for the future and their future survival. Create a player-driven economy in a procedural world. Not only does Bitcraft aim to give players full control over the construction of new civilizations, but the latest announcement has made it clear that the game is open source.

According to a blog post from Clockwork Labs, open-sourcing Bitcraft allows players to “satise their codebase, change code, share code, host their own servers, experiment with mechanics, or satisfy their curiosity about how MMORPGs choke friend under the hood.”

Bitcraft Early Access is scheduled to start June 20, 2025, After more than seven years of development from Clockwork Labs, the Bitcraft team said open sourcing will be implemented Immediately after early access begins.
