Not even humans are humans, some of the most memorable villains in the anime. They don’t need relevant backstory or complicated motivations to leave the mark.
Nonhuman anime villains often exist on a scale that goes far beyond our understanding. They range from ancient demons to alien conquerors, to gods of destruction and to cursed spirits. They bend the rules of nature, exist outside of morality, challenge heroes not only physically but philosophically. This list includes seven such antagonists.

Kaguya Otsutsuki
Naruto Shippuden
Before the endless war, before the rise of ninjutsu, there was Kaguya, an alien being who had arrived on Earth and consumed the fruit of the God Tree. Her goal was not to enlighten humanity or guide him towards peace, but to control.
Kaguya’s backstory transforms the scale of Naruto’s shippin story from a generational ninja conflict to a universe story of God, betrayal, and desires of power. She appears later in the series, shortly after Madara’s ambitions are turned down briefly by her manifestation and tools for Black Zetschu, resurrection.
The rabbit-like eyes, pale etheric appearance, and the ability to manipulate dimensions freely make Kaguya as unsettling as she is overwhelmed. The ball seeking the vast truth, her signature move, can completely erase the dimensions. Despite her incredible power, she lacked emotional depth, which made her feel more like a natural force than her traditional antagonist.

Meruem
Hunter x Hunter
Born from the grotesque process of genocide, Meruem appeared as the Chimera Ant King of Hunter x Hunter. However, it wasn’t just his strength that made Meruem unforgettable. That was his evolution.
Initially, he did not honor his life, whether human or anything else. He beheaded his subordinates for minor mistakes and considered humans to be cows. But everything changed when he met Komugi, a blind girl with the genius of Gungi, a fictional board game in the world of Hunter X Hunter.
Her unwavering resolve and selflessness interrupted him in ways his creators never intended. The most powerful beings on Earth have begun to question morality, identity, and purpose in life. In the final episode of Chimera Anto Ark, we witnessed a transformation that is rarely given to villains. He chose to die by the only person who made him feel alive.

One Punchman
Boros didn’t want to conquer the universe. He already had it. He wanted someone to fight back in the end. In one punch man, where every fight ends in one blow, Boros was the only villain who had Seida use something other than a regular punch.
His design stands out. The armored power and the sparkling core of molten metal stand out from the armored alien overlord. Boros is the leader of Dark Matter Thief and the only character to survive multiple hits from Sato in season 1.
When the meteor bursts, he pushes his powers into almost infinite speed and strength, even regenerating after being torn apart. Defeating the Starr’s Roll Cannon, his final move, could erase the planet’s surface. Still, that wasn’t enough.

Dragon Ball
Few anime villains have achieved the iconic status of Frieza in Dragon Ball. As a self-proclaimed emperor of the universe, Frieza ruled fear and atrocities, commanding an army that conquered planets and extinct populations that contained almost genes in the Saiyan race.
His seemingly small height in his basic form confirms his incredible strength. With the white and purple bio armor that covers his body and a long tail that is used as both a weapon and an appendage, Frieza’s appearance is both alien and majestic. What makes him particularly scary is his ability to reveal his true level of power and transform him into a more powerful state.
Frieza’s cruelty is hardly bounded. He destroyed the planet Vegeta because he was afraid of a potential appearance of Super Saiyans. During the namek saga, he personally ran countless namekians while hunting Dragon Balls. His torture of Vegeta and murder of Krillin pushes Goku to achieve the legendary Super Saiyan transformation that Frieza was so afraid of.

Muzan Kibutsuji
Demon slayer
At first glance, Muzan looks like a man walking down the streets of Teishe era. But beneath its gentle appearance is the first demon ever born, responsible for every ounce of pain in the devil’s murder.
He transformed Nezuko into a demon. He killed the entire family of Tanjiro. And for most of the series, he is a phantom, pulling a string from the shadows, changing his appearance, hiding in front of him.
Muzan’s strength exceeds physical strength. He has the ability to regenerate unparalleled form, change in shape, control of blood, and instantly create demons through his blood. Even the 12 Kizuki, his elite subordinates, live in fear of his rage.
His one weakness? solar. And he does anything to conquer it. That’s why Nezuko’s immunity to sunlight terrorized him. In the final arc, you see a hopeless monster doing everything to escape death, even though it means turning a child into a ship for his own survival.

Jujutsu Kaisen
Ryomen Sukuna is what you get when you mix demons, warlords, and pure egos into one body. In Jujutsu Kaisen he is known as the King of Curses. This is an unexaggerated title. Even in a world filled with cursed spirits and elite magicians, Sukuna is at the top.
His design is impressive. You’ll know that when he takes over Yuji Itadori’s body. His eyes doubled, his voice deepened, his smile became demons. He is charming in the most frightening way possible.
Sukuna not only wants destruction, but also wants domination. At Shibuya Arc, we saw what some of his strength could do. He easily wiped out the entire district. In season 2, his full power is unleashed, and the result is one of the most terrifying battles in modern anime.

Beeras
Dragon Ball
Beeras is not your typical villain. He is a literal God and is accused of maintaining the balance of the universe through destruction. In Dragon Ball Super, his introduction turned the franchise into his mind. Goku, Vegeta, and even King Kai bowed in fear.
However, Beelas is lazy, obsessed with food, deeply influenced by his mood. He threatened to destroy the Earth on the pudding. He fell asleep for decades. But when pushed, his powers warn almost everything we saw in the series.
He surpassed the Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Vegeta, forcing Goku and forced the Super Saiyan god. His battle with Goku didn’t end with defeat, but he does respectfully.
Over time, Bielas evolved from an impending threat to a lonely mentor. He is still a god of destruction, but now those who occasionally share food and advice, once thought they had erased it.
