GSC Game World is extremely active in providing post-release support for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. And the studio is far from over.
Today, the developers have revealed the latest roadmap for Stalker 2. This is only framed from Q2 2025, which the developer plans to do. I think there’s more to be planned in the world of GSC gaming, but they chose to reveal what they planned over the next three months, as it’s abundant enough.
Get new weapons and other improvements for free
According to GSC Game World, they will release a quarterly roadmap, so hopefully the next roadmap will be revealed when Q3 rolls. So, what new things will be available for the next few months? There are many. Not only are bug fixes, but there are also new features and improvements that will definitely be evaluated by players in the zone.

- Important A-Life Modifications
- Continuous stabilization and visual improvement
- Free Rodokka and other blocker removal
- New controller capabilities and squirrels
Beta mod sdk kit:
- Closed beta with mod maker to test modkit
- Release beta mod sdk
- mod guide (handwritten: Stalker AI provides information)
- Integration of mod.io and Steam Workshops
a-life/ai updated:
- Permanent A-Life Improvements (Handwritten: Stalkers live a long and happy life.
- Smarter Human Battle: Better Cover/Adjacency Use, Restricted Hand Rena Bullet
- Mutants eat corpses (handwritten: So that’s how they survived in the zone…)
- Mutants respond to threats
Other items confirmed in the second quarter of 2025:
- Mutant booty
- Shader Compilation Skip
- Increased player stash window
- Widescreen aspect ratio support
- Two new weapons
- Further stabilization, optimization, and “abnormal” correction
The world of GSC gaming has also reminded players that the original Stalker Trilogy is getting the next generation update within this quarter.
Released last year, Stalker 2 is the franchise’s fourth mainline game and the first game to be released in 15 years.
If you haven’t played the game yet, our reviews are honest about the issue. Given the flood of updates we’ve got for the game, some of these may not be an issue now given the improvements and bug fixes that developers have deployed.
There are no words yet as to when the first Q2 2025 patch will be released, but don’t be surprised that they’ll download it before the month ends/
