With more games added to the “impressive stability” of Xbox Game Pass, some will go through the cracks. One game that may have been overlooked due to the high-profile release of this month’s service appears to be escaping its fate.
Though it’s not an AAA blockbuster, the release of the game on the service would have added a wide variety to the games available.
Descender next Xbox Game Pass Release was delayed due to feedback
Originally scheduled to be released on Xbox Game Pass on April 19th via early ACCES, the next Descenders by developer Ragesquid is indefinitely behind its release.
After 60,000 players try out the demo, the developers take feedback to heart, bring the game back to the lab and even make it their ally. According to the announcement, “We’ve hit some bits with feedback that we want to iron before starting early access. The team is already there and adds highly requested features like key bindings, first-person cameras, enemies, movements, and tree return, but others are a bigger effort.”
Developers do not have a new date to announce. But “This means Dellender is ready to prepare for early access next. It will take a little longer than expected. So, it gives the game a little more time in the oven and pushes the launch date. There are no dates yet.
Even if Descenders is then pulled out for the April lineup of services, there will not be a shortage of games on the April subscription service. The recently released titles on Xbox Game Pass include the action game from Midnight in South. This has been highly praised so far. Not only that, Grand Theft Auto 5 will be available on the service on April 15th, and the much-exaggerated RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will also be available on the service when it was released on April 24th.
If that’s not enough, the highest rated game of the year so far is also available on Xbox Game Pass. It’s a title you probably don’t want to miss. There are also new leaks that state that heavier hit games are quickly hit the service.
There’s no shortage of games to play on the platform and we’re trying to get more. Microsoft has announced a new Xbox Showcase set that will air this June.
