2022 was the year of video games banners. Eldenling dominated the industry, but there were still many groundbreaking titles that captivated gamers. We fell in love with lost love, lost in the world of the Gods of War, reunited with Kirby and an old friend in a forgotten land.
Three years later, some of the best games of 2022 are still being updated. Kirby and the Forgotten Land are fascinated by the Nintendo Switch 2 and feature new content. I’m enjoying my time at Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in Eldenling. Even God of Waragna Rock received an update as part of the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
However, if you ask me, there’s one 2022 game that ignored the odds and rose above all else. It was a groundbreaking debut of an indie debut, and still dominating the industry today, it is the vampire survivors.

Vampire Survivor: Emerald Diorama Updates are now available
The free DLC, available on Steam and other platforms later today, brings characters to the vampire survivor world of Saga: Emerald Beyond. In total, 12 new characters have been added to the game, headlined as follows:
- Tsunanori Mido – A master fake collection of the fate of the dolls in the koots battle.
- Ameya Aisling – Secret Witch looking for lost magic (and cats)
- Bonnie & Formina – A bold detective duo fighting side by side with fist and firearms.
- Diva No. 5 – Singing forbidden melody and being abandoned by traveling through different worlds (and robotic bodies) to rediscover her memories.
Additionally, this new Vampire Survivors update will include 16 new weapons, a Saga series Glimmer mechanic, a new stage and a remix of the iconic Saga: Emerald Beyond Tracks.
The Emerald Diorama update for Vampire Survivors is available today on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, Epic Games Store, Android, and iOS.
