in Midnight walk, You step into the shoes of “burn things” that have an unknown past. I left the tunnel and offered a series of eyes to see better. Interestingly, you will be moved to a world that mimics the kind of stop motion animation found in clay.
“Sound plays a big role in the game (…) the game is binaural and has a binaural sound,” says Klaus Lyngeled, CEO of Moonhood.
According to the studio, there are over 700 physical models built into clay, Papier-Mâché, physical books, and 3D scanned both the game’s geometry and the characters within it.
Practically, the moon’s ooht shows off the eye-opening features of the flat screen version, enhancing the sense of hearing. This was originally designed for the PSVR 2, but onboard eye tracking on the headset makes the studio reveal. To boot, closing your eyes in the PSVR 2 version is also a key factor in defeating enemies, says the studio.
You also use the game’s consumables match to light candles, open pathways, and see the elements of the story that appear as audio notes discovered via “shellphones” to grasp the light confusion.
When it comes to combat, the studio makes it clear that it’s not about filming and killing things, but rather using the environment to keep the enemy from distracting.
While it’s called a “cozy horror game”, there seem to be some jump scares waiting for you, but regular safe areas are meant to cool you down and take a break.
Still waiting for VR gameplay, but you’ll find it Midnight walk It will be released on May 8th at a price of $40 on the PlayStation Store for PSVR 2 and on Steam for PC VR headsets.
