The best high rank hunting horn
Hunting horns are one of the strangest weapons of all or the general one. This big instrument is a slow swing buffing beatdown style weapon and may require some practice to get used to it.
Still, despite the initial learning curve you may have using the weapon, if you give it the chance to win it, it can prove worth to you.
From early games to late games, we cover the best builds for all your hunting horn needs.
Dive in and let them play some great songs right away.
Low rank build
When you’re just starting out, your options are quite limited. Luckily, there are great options that will help you learn weapons and provide a decent setup right away.
Bone Horn II is the best option to get you started as it comes with some great songs that will help you get through most hunts relatively easily. Aside from boosting your attacks, you can access Defense & Elemental Res Up Echo Bubble. This provides additional protection during the hunt.
The armor in this build is a mashup of the Hirabami and Balahara sets, so it is available at the midpoint of the low rank. The focus here is to give Evade Window a lot of levels and avoid Eveded Extender as you do a lot of avoidance while writing the song.
This is a general build that provides ideas about what skills will be important to hunting horns. As you continue to increase your Hunter rank, you will need to upgrade your weapons and armor.
High Rank Build
Now we go into the real meat and potatoes of Buildcraft. By accessing all the monster parts you need, this is where your build becomes more tweaked rather than changing.
At this point you probably have a good idea about the skills you are looking for, but I will throw in some of my personal favorites. A horn maestro, evasion window, sturdy hitter and agitator are absolutely necessary.
- The horn maestro is great because it increases the duration of the melody.
- Evade Window helps you get out of sticky situations with extra immortal frames.
- Sluggers increase your stamp power and make your musical swing even better.
- The agitator is useful as all the monsters fly into rage quite often.
Some of my personal recommendations are merging, constitutional, sacred blessings, and earplugs. For hunting horns, these are usually the most useful apart from the above.
- Coalsements are great. Because you can almost always take advantage of the effects of your condition as you recover from blight.
- The Constitution allows you to avoid it more often, trust me, you will dodge much.
- God’s blessings have saved me more than I can count, but it is not always reliable.
- Earplugs for those monsters to roar out of your ears are your sweet, sweet melody.
This seems a bit limited, but you can access many of the gear decorations and ample slots, and choose the rest of the skills. A mix of Gore Magara, Ajaraken, Jin Dahad and Arkbelled gears gives you the best options for decoration slots and most of the skills you need.
The best high rank hunting horn
You are certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to weapons, but there are two of them that stand out the most. It’s a galahad that echoes omurtica. We welcome which hunting horns will tickle your fantasies, but overall, these two are the best general options.
With Omiltika you will get 3 Level 3 Decorative Slots. With defensive and elemental res up echo bubbles and songs to keep offense, you will end up clashing hard with this bad boy and playing loudly.
As it is an Artian Weapon, you will need to build Omiltika yourself. To build this particular thing, at least two Artian materials must be combined with the blast element.
If you prefer your weapon a little more monster, You’ll probably want to check out the overwhelming stuff of Galahad. There are no decorative slots, but the combined skills of the horn maestro and slugger make up for it.
The biggest appeal of this is not only the damage of its high dragon element, but also the knockback song being denied and attacked (L), and there are songs with all the melody. Combined with the overwhelming melody of a special performance, you should do some serious damage while keeping yourself and your allies in battle.
Always remember that in Monster Hunter it is about the right tools for your job. Don’t commit to anything just because it has all the bells and whistles. Use all the tools in your tool belt to achieve the best of your hardest and success.
Don’t forget to use this build as a guide above all else. Try and play around with everything in your arsenal to see what’s best for you.
There’s no wrong way to hunt!
