If you’re already living in an area on April 2nd, you may have seen a short Nintendo video that specially promotes the C button. For 7 seconds, you will see the Joy-Con connected to your Nintendo Switch 2 before quick zooming to the C button. Your finger presses the button. The buttons make a sound. Sound is a pointless mixture of activating jingles and MII talk.
Does this mean that MII is back? perhaps! And it could be a sign that Nintendo has released a sign that social media platforms like Miiverse (a fan favorite feature of the Wii U and 3DS ERA) will be launched with the C button. Listen to the above sounds about a million times and come back to us.
When Nintendo first revealed the Switch 2 in January, what was on display with the new Joy-Cons along with the device featured a mysterious, unmarked button. Everyone almost immediately assumed that this meant that the C button would return after skipping multiple console generations. Still, we remained in the dark about what the C button actually does.
Whether the C button opens a new Miiverse style chat app, saves screenshots and video recordings, simply creates funny noise and learn more during tomorrow’s Switch 2 presentation. stay tuned!
