Apple today announced that Visionos 2.4, the latest update for Vision Pro, is now available to the public. VisionOS 2.4 finally adds Apple Intelligence capabilities to your headset, creating a new spatial gallery for adding an iPhone companion app to use and share your headset, and a new spatial gallery that curates spatial content for viewing on your headset.
The first Apple Intelligence feature reached iPhones, iPads and Macs in October 2024, but Vision Pro was mysteriously ruled out. Not only did the headset not get Apple Intelligence features, but at that point Apple hadn’t confirmed that the headset would get them.
This will ultimately change in Visionos 2.4. This makes it open to the public. This adds Apple Intelligence features that allow users to access on other devices. This includes writing tools such as image playgrounds and image generation tools such as genmoji, such as the ability to proofread, rewrite and summarize text.

Spatial Gallery is a new app for headsets that contains spatial (3D) content curated by Apple. Think of it as the best gallery of space photos and videos. Although content changes over time, Apple says that “you can discover stories and experiences from iconic brands like Red Bull, Cirque Du Soleil and Porsche.” You can go behind the scenes with Apple Originals, The Studio, The Morning Show and listen to conversations with top artists like Bad Bunny, Charli XCX, and Keith Urban. ”
Vision Pro companion app for iPhone
Like the Apple Watch, Vision Pro gets a companion app that runs on your iPhone or iPad. The app highlights new apps and entertainment content available on your headset, without the need to put your device in just to view new content.
The app also serves as an easy place to read tips and tricks to get the most out of your headset, and you can also find important support information such as versions and serial numbers.
Improved guest users
Vision Pro launches smartly in a dedicated “guest mode” to allow headset owners to easily show off their headset to friends and family by calibrating the headset exclusively for guests, allowing them to control the apps that guests can access.

Visionos 2.4, along with iOS 18.4, makes the process more smooth by allowing headset owners to start guest mode sessions from their iPhone (the headset must be placed first). It also allows the owner to remotely launch View Mirroring to see what guest users are seeing on the headset. Previously, this could only be started from within the headset, so you had to guide the guest users by memory through menus to find the right button.
New Apple Immersive Video Content

Alongside Visionos 2.4, Apple highlights the upcoming release of its first-party Apple immersive video content VIP: Yankee Stadium April 4th, “Elite athletes, stubborn fans, dedicated staff and epic moments take a comprehensive look at how Bronx Ball Park becomes legendary.”
After that, Apple will be released on May 30th. Bono: The Story of Summita documentary about the frontman of band U2. Uniquely, this will be released on Apple TV+ and will be available to display both standard flat screen video and Vision Pro as Apple Immersive Video
