Shadow of the assassin’s beliefs There is a weapon that breaks the whole idea of being a ninja, and therefore the whole point of the game. So you can turn Naoe into a crazy brawl who will make Yasuke hang his sword. It’s so powerful that I’m sure Ubisoft will remove it with a patch, so I need to take advantage of it as soon as possible.
The best part? This weapon can be grabbed in Izumi Setu, the region where the game starts you (to scream and emphasize it) to YouTube user Jorraptor. A little north of your hideout is a small camp called Tozuku’s hideout. Katanov Hills’ perspective is nearby if it’s already unlocked. There are a few enemies in the camp to clean up first. After that, you can plunder the breasts for a legendary tantrum called Igan Sunset.
Don’t worry about Igan’s sunset statistics. Look at the legendary perks engraved on top of it. Time is slower to crawl each time you use a unique escape striketant ability. That may sound less useful, but trust me if you say it might ruin the game for you.
To use the Escape Strike ability, you must unlock it in the Tanto Skill Tree. The problem is that it is only available in the second tier of unlock. This requires you to collect sufficient knowledge points first. To collect these, you will be pounding orange icons on the map (often hidden behind a white question mark). I save time by aiming for simple things like shrines, temples, kohns and more. If enough, use two master points to unleash Leap Strike and one master point, unleash Escape Strike.
Congratulations: You are virtually immortal now! When you join a battle with Tanto Out, you can hold R1 or R2 (right bumper or right trigger on Xbox), then press Circle (B on Xbox) to avoid it backwards and trigger slow motion. If the enemy tries to attack you, you can simply keep out of the way and take another escape strike. It can also make a leap of strikes. This requires the same button combination when holding the analog stick in the direction.
I am sure that if the assassins had known this technique, their long war with the Templars would have been merely quick. However, be careful. A person cursed with this knowledge will find it really difficult to creep up patiently when they know that they cannot be touched in battle. I haven’t finished the game, but I haven’t found anything that could actually hurt me during the battle. Make sure to upgrade your hidden forging upgrade to help you engrave the Igan Sunset perks into a better Tanto.
This is a tactic I would probably recommend avoiding until you’re ready to prepare the entire game for something completely trivial or if you really like playing Yasuke as two main brawlers. Part of the fun of playing Naoe is to systematically remove camps until only the big enemies are left and they can attack them from the shadows. I pulled out Tanto when things got cheated, but I don’t decide that you want to speed up the nae’s revenge story with a little time magic.
