Bigscreen today announced the next generation beyond PC VR headsets, and has pledged to significantly improve Field of View (FOV) and clarity by including new pancake lenses. Bigscreen also makes the light headset slimmer and more attractive for home and enterprise users, thanks to the new adjustable hilar distance (IPD) and the facial interface of the universal light seal.
BigScreen is releasing two versions of the next headset (beyond 2 and later 2e releases). Unlike Apple’s recent “E” naming scheme seen on iPhone 16E, “E” above 2e indicates the inclusion of gaze tracking.
2Es above 2Es have a very small eye tracking suite, but everything above 2. vrchatThe beta program began in the summer of 2025.
The headset costs $1,019 (over 2) and $1,219 (over 2e), but Bigscreen has once made it $849 and $1,049, respectively.
The company says the first batch is scheduled to be released in April, with optional Hello Style strap mounts targeting the Q3 2025 release. Both are available in three colorways, surpassing two models: carbon black, crystal clear and nuclear orange.
Like more than 1, Slim and Light PC VR headsets use SteamVR tracking standards, including support for base stations in SteamVR 1.0 and 2.0, as well as regular executives of STEAMVR accessories such as controllers (aka “knuckles”), such as body trackers and Valve’s index controllers.
Of course, you will need a VR-enabled PC to use more than two big screens and the required base stations. Click here to see if your PC is ready.

Although there are no bumps with resolutions above 2, it includes the same dual 1-inch 2,560 x 2,560 micro-all display, so just like the original Beyond (2023), the biggest improvement to the 2 is undoubtedly the inclusion of a new pancake lens. The new lens design is said to increase the FOV to a reported 116 degree angle than the original 102 degree angle FOV.
It’s also lighter, 16% less than the original Being, and is lighter than standalone headsets such as the 107 grams (515G) and the Apple Vision Pro (650G) and other PC VR headsets in the Slim and Light category, such as the upcoming Maganex Super Light 8K (179g).
Despite the unchanged display, Bigscreen says that brightness has been improved by more than 2 and the glare has been reduced by a good margin. The new pancake lens design features “over 1 dramatic improvements” with “edges and edges and edge clarity and extremely large sweet spots.”

And for the first time, we will introduce an IPD mechanism that can be adjusted beyond two. This can be changed in the included tools. The visible markings inside the headset show the current IPD settings in millimeters of both lenses, allowing the user to dial in independently and independently of each lens.
The company called the new IPD mechanism “a massive improvement” over one fixed IPD system, and had to choose from 18 different sizes and scan the face with an iPhone with the required custom facial interface.
And what about accessories? Although it supports more than 2 and more than 1 custom fit cushions, the headset is shipped using a Universal Fit Light Seal Interface. All of these will be more than one attractive feature not only for enterprise users, but for home users looking for better shared users.
To boot, many of the original Beyond accessories are said to work with two or more, including a 5-meter fiber optic cable, a link box, an audio strap, and a soft stop. In particular, prescription lens inserts manufactured above 1 before 2025 will work above 2, but do not fit above 2e. Prescription lens inserts manufactured after 2025 are compatible with more than 1, 2 and 2E, Bigscreen says.
The headset includes a soft strap, but Bigscreen is introducing the Halo style mount, which was announced in the third quarter of 2025.

Halo Mount features fine-tuned controls for tilt and eye relief, and supports multiple configurations, including Lightseal included in the Headset, and Beyond’s original custom facial interface.
As a mount, not the entire strap unit, the accessories are compatible with a variety of strap solutions, including the included soft strap, big screen audio straps, and third-party options. There is no pricing yet, but there is no doubt that we will learn more with the release of Q3 2025.
Bigscreen bybod 2 will take over your order on the website. This website is shipped from its factory in Los Angeles, California to customers in the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. The company also said it plans to expand to countries such as South Korea, Mexico, Israel and the UAE later this year.
