Rockstar has provided Go-Ahead, the official conversion tool, which allows Modders to update mods and manipulate all-new Grand Theft Auto V enhancements.
Custom assets used in the FIVEM and GTAV legacy are not natively compatible with the recently released extended PC game, CFX.RE. I was hired by Rockstar in 2023 – announcement We are working on new tools to “help the mod community to make their assets compatible with new upgrades.”

The conversion tool supports the following formats:
- Dictionary of multiple draws (*.ydd)
- General models, geometry, optional embedded textures and lights (*.ydr)
- Complex fragmented skeletons/models (*.yft) for use in pedestrians, vehicles, destructible objects, etc.
- Texture Dictionary (also known as TXD) (*ytd.)
There is still no specific date on when the tool will be available, but the team emphasizes that “currently focuses on completing the last few tasks needed to release the tool,” so players should expect a “full announcement and comprehensive documentation” to be released.
