ZA/UM has announced the official mobile version of Disco Elysium as it took to the announcement of its new game project C4.
Za/UM said the goal of a mobile version dedicated to Android devices is to bring “Disco Elysium” to new players, “preferring to existing Disco Elysium players as a fun, on-the-go alternative.” For this purpose, we will release the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free. After that, you can unlock the full game with just one payment.
“I want players to make an informed decision about the potential purchase,” ZA/UM said. “Today’s ZA/UM Studio is made up of both creators and custodians of Disco Elysium IP. We take both of these roles very seriously and believe that is evident in the Disco Elysium mobile experience we are creating.”
Studio Head Dennis Havel went a step further and said that mobile disco elysium is about attracting Tiktok audiences.
“We’re going to captivate Tiktok users with our fast, compelling hits of story, art and audio, and ultimately create a completely new, deeply engaging entertainment,” Havel said.
The Za/UM announcement was made similar to the debut trailer and screenshots of mobile Disco Elysium. The game has a new 360-degree scene built “just to place mobile users in the middle of Revachol.” There is a brand new audio featuring complete narration “which is more immersive and helps the characters provide a richer experience.”
Here’s the official blurb:
This is a complete reimagining of the award-winning, engaging psychological RPG Disco Elysium, designed to perfectly accommodate today’s mobile users’ habits. This story-rich adventure is optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to jump anywhere on their mobile devices at any time.
The story’s lead, Chris Priestman, said the mobile version of Disco Elysium is “what the audiobook wants” and is designed to be played in short bursts.
Disco Elysium was released on mobile via Google Android Summer 2025.
Of course, the studio name is the same, but it is worth noting that many of the important people who worked at Disco Elysium are not in Za/UM. Many former ZA/UM members have left the studio since the release of Disco Elysiumand some of them are working on spiritual successors.
