In a similar case starting in December, Activision confirmed that it had recast some of its Call of Duty members. Black Ops 6 cast after fans noticed a much-loved zombie character in the game with a new voice.
The company has issued a statement to game developers who will recognize characters in Black Ops 6’s zombie mode.
Zombie characters William Peck (Zeke Alton) and Samantha Maxis (Julie Nathanson) are now being expressed by new, unknown actors. Alton told Game developers that Activision had no issues with Peck’s actions, but expressed concerns “about my brand as a performer.”
“Fans of the game have reached out to me because the lack of credits (of the exchange actor) implies that it is still me who is unfairly representing my abilities as a performer,” Alton said at the time.
