Intergalactic Creative Director Wants to Tackle Themes of Being Lonely

Naughty Dog Studio Head and Creative Director of Upcoming Games Intergalactic Neil Druckman says the studio wants players to feel lonely and get lost in the game. 28 days later, Druckman, who spoke to author Alex Garland on a recent episode of the creator series from Sony creators, spoke about the theme Intergalaxy, The main setting of the planet Sempiria.

According to Druckman Intergalactic It uses themes like religion and faith, and ideas of loneliness. For this reason, players do not have the ally that they traditionally had in previous naughty dog games.

“I really wanted to make a game about faith and religion, but I also wanted to just be alone,” Druckman said. “A lot of the previous games have been done, and we’ve always got allies with you. I want you to get lost in a place where you’re really confused about what happened here.”

Druckman hopes the player shares the same feelings with his protagonist Jordan A. Mann, wondering about the mystical people and history they meet in Sempiria.

“Who are the people here? What was their history?” Druckman said he was explaining a question he wanted players to wonder. “And for 600 years no one has heard of this planet to get off.

In the same conversation, Druckman reveals it, but he has the ultimate vision Intergalaxy, That’s more of a theory. Rather, the game is still seeing changes and is evolving during its development.

“Again, these are very complicated and huge and involve a lot of people,” Druckman said. “It’s like I still don’t know exactly what this will look like in the end. I have the theory, I have the ideas, but it’s still evolving and changing.”
