In a special panel for SXSW 2025, Koijma Productions revealed a new trailer Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Director Kojima is 10 minutes long and shows off a ton of new gameplay while checking the PS5’s June 26th release date. Pre-orders begin on March 17th, with the standard version available for $69.99.
There’s a lot to unleash from the trailer in terms of story. An invisible individual here (played by Luka Marinelli) who could become a younger version of Cliff Unger. A quiet attempt to quietly move myself and Lou away from danger. Shipping is automated, plate gates connect continents and servers line the beaches. A large BTS (where Sam participates in misfortune) that can engage in battles like Kaiju.
A standard gameplay loop that traverses the luxurious environment while delivering packages remains. Sam has impressive new technologies, including hover pads for transporting additional goods and all-terrain vehicles that cover the water. New dynamic weather, like a sandstorm, is also noticeable.
