Social Discovery Group, the company behind Dating.com and Datemyage.com, has announced that it has launched a venture studio aimed at “transforming virtual intimacy into new normal” by supporting AI-powered communications, XR advances and early stage startups on social discovery platforms.
The group, known as SDG Lab, has pledged to invest $20 million a year by providing a “easy” fundraising process. This process allows entrepreneurs to secure seed funding for product development and to secure additional capital in scaling.
SDG Lab’s most notable investments include the virtual dating platform “VR Chat & Dating” and the niche-based dating apps Kiseki, Flure and Astrolove.
Leaded by former Social Discovery Group CMO Alex Kudos, SDG Lab offers startups that build social discovery and connectivity technologies using resources such as legal assistance, back-office support, technical infrastructure and marketing expertise.
“Social interaction is evolving, and digital intimacy is the next frontier,” said Alex Kudos, CEO of SDG Lab. “At SDG Lab, we don’t just fund ideas. We are co-creating a future of human connection. By investing and partnering with bold entrepreneurs, we are building technologies that enable meaningful relationships wherever we are in the world.”
“The virtual relationships and AI-driven connections are no longer science fiction. They are fundamental parts of our digital life,” the praise added. “SDG Labs are building the next generation of products that shape how people connect, engage and build relationships online.”
