The release of Civilization 7 is controversial, to say the least.
I enjoyed my time at the game but I agree that I’m not in the perfect place right now. However, on PC, the game is at least functional despite the frustrating UI issues.
However, although not the PS5 version of the game, some players have plenty.
One CIV fan joined Reddit on an attempt to get a refund for the game through the PlayStation Store. They now don’t feel the game is worth the money, so they succeeded.
“I really wanted to enjoy this game,” they said. “I can get over the UI. It’s the pain of Bat PlayStation control. But it’s a constant crash. Even after the patch, PlayStation 5 crashes every game I play. It’s shocking for a game that costs 115 pounds.
Fans agree that the PS5 version of Civ 7 is currently in bad condition
The original poster was far from the only person experiencing these problems. Many people say they plan to get their own refunds.
“We got nine crashes that allowed us to enter the game and play one turn,” one commenter said. “I got a refund after about an hour of frustration.”
“You did the right thing,” cried out by another fan. “You’re not a beta tester. You deserve a completely functional game.”
Note that Civ 7 is not the first game in the series that can be played on the console. Civ 6 was beyond wise control using the controller. No mouse or keyboard was required. These issues were exclusive to Civ 7 and the fans were adequate.
They have been waiting for years to play a new syving game, but their wait times have so far been worthless.
Firaxis recently released a new update, but these gamers believe the PS5 version needs improvements.
