With the goal of making unique characters and complex abilities the focus of the game, Apex Legends quickly stood out from the crowd when it was released in 2019.
With a new season on May 6th and a leaked trailer revealing new legends, 2025 is becoming a great year for the pinnacle.
There are currently 26 legends to choose from, and they span all five classes: Assault, skirmishes, reconnaissance, support, and controllers. Each legend has passive abilities, tactical abilities, and ultimate abilities, but the character class offers multiple perks that help distinguish individual roles.
Apex Legends is a complicated hero shooter and it can be hard to understand that Legend is best suited to your PlayStyle, so we’ll review the best legends to play in 2025.
I have determined the rankings for this list based on who I think can have an overall impact on the game, and have included at least one legend in each class.
Questions that drive this list, how can you win more games? With that in mind, I have focused on highlighting the legends that fulfill each particular role with the highest efficiency, as I believe that strong team composition is essential to success at the top.

Chase your enemies with relentless pressure and high mobility under the shadows. Revenant does everything you expect to have a synthetic nightmare.
Shadow Pounce is a simple, yet extremely useful mobility tool that pairs with Skirmisher class perks, recharges charge knocks, revives tactical abilities, gives HP regeneration, and can attack multiple times during team fights.
Renabent’s ultimate makes him Assassins who can hit. When pushing enemy teams, use counterfeit shadows to block damage, secure knockdowns to gain shadow posh charges, and reposition them for safe shields or further engagement.
Of the 26 legends, I felt I deserved Lenavent worthy of a spot on this list due to my ability to chase the enemy and secure team wipes.
Not only is his kit fundamentally fit for assassin fans, I also love his overall character design and I find him really enjoyable to play. If you like to push the action and hit the fear on your enemies, Renavent is the hitman you’re looking for.

Alter is the latest addition to the Apex roster, and has proven to be one of the strongest legends of the season with its ability to transport teams through Void this season.
It’s your team that makes Alter a great choice There is always a way out or an entrance. If your team is moving forward and trapped in a corner, use free passages to move through walls or surfaces or teleport to the Void Nexus.
Gifts from Rift, Alter’s passive ability, are one of the most useful passives in the game. When your teammates are killed, you can see their deathboxes from the wall and retrieve their banners remotely, so you don’t have to face the team waiting for you in the shadows.
I personally feel that Alter is one of the most powerful things right now. Because she offers you additional ways to navigate maps, interact with enemy teams, escape from them, and safely retrieve allied banners.
Without a full team, you’re at a great disadvantage and Alter has great tools to help bring down team members back into the fight. So she’s in 7th place.

There is nothing more satisfying than getting a win after you’ve definitely saved the day by reviving and protecting your team. When your team is on fire, use radiant transfer to allow shielding to block damage. Passives increase movement speeds, allowing them to reach them before they die.
Energy barricades are powerful ultimate as they allow you to stay away from disadvantaged situations. If your squad is chasing you and you don’t want a part of it, deploy your ultimate and create a giant barricade that will damage and slow your attacker if the attacker passes through it.
Playing the conduit will surprise you with the overall success rate, as we have tools to buy time to protect, heal, reload and reposition your teammates.
Whether your team is actively pushing or focusing on defensive professions, I have found Conduits add so much value to every team. So, for her versatility and protection, she claims the No. 6 spot.

A better gun means there’s a higher chance of survival, and Loba The Loot Legend knows how to connect you. Equipping scopes, expansion magazines, ammo stockpiles and shielded batteries will help you win in a firefight It lasted for a long time and this is a speciality in donkeys.
Loba’s Passive allows you to see the loot from above the wall, but in her ultimate you and your team can remotely select items from nearby containers within a large radius around you. By combining these two abilities, you can find a powerful weapon and find yourself competed with your team.
What I discovered is that providing teams with their favorite weapons and attachments is one of the best buffs that support can offer. I like to corner the ultimate accelerator to open my store as soon as possible. This creates incredibly valuable power spikes for the entire team. So Loba will create the top five.

Bloodhound continues to be one of the most powerful legends in the game He will provide incredible reconnaissance to your entire team. His tactical abilities are one of the most useful tools in the game.
If you suddenly get fired and don’t know where it’s coming from, or if you feel an instinct that your prey is nearby, use tactics to scan the area and reveal your enemies through the wall.
If your troops were in your area recently, you will see footprints on the ground where you can follow their location. If no other teams are nearby, you will encounter white ravens around the map and you can search for the nearest team and send them.
Bloodhound sits in fourth due to his elite reconnaissance abilities. I discovered that Bloodhound is extremely versatile. It’s safe and avoiding fights, and offers the option to corner your team alongside offensive legends like Octane and Ash.
Being able to see the position of enemies hidden in the building gives you and your team a much more likely chance of winning a quarterly battle. So I think the Bloodhound is one of the best right now.

Caustic is one of the most powerful legends for very good reasons. Playing caustic using toxic gas straps and hand rena bullets, Protect your position and protect yourself from ambush. When playing toxic trappers, staying a step ahead is extremely important, so find a good place and stay calm.
If you are in a high-rise loot area and can hear enemies nearby, place NOX gas straps on the damage and slow ambushers near the entry point. This will provide your teammates with strong defensive capabilities and allow for some degree of security during looting.
I’ve always been biased towards characters who use traps for some reason. Whether it’s Teemo in League of Legends or Shaco, or Junkrat in Overwatch, controlling and defending a particular area is a unique playstyle that allows you to think first and become incredibly powerful with your right hand.
In Apex, Caustic is passing through trap characters, helping to strengthen your position, making it difficult for your team to rush you. There is nothing to stop a plan like toxic gas on the face. Absurd amounts of gunshots continue, making caustic a dangerous legend and a solid top three pick.

If you’re looking for classic healer support, lifelines are your choice. A kit full of emergency response capabilities and perks will play a key role in keeping your teammates alive when they are under attack.
The key to success with Lifeline is to be ready to provide assistance when the time comes, always get close enough to your teammates and deploy the document from afar to provide healing.
When your teammate is knocked down, it’s your time of sparkle. Use Doc to revive your teammates and deploy the ultimate to help your team return to full health and full shield. Protection, healing buffs, and speedy resurrection mean the difference between returning to the lobby or looting the deathbox.
I made Lifeline runner-up for her ability to change the tide of lost battles. Your healing teammates will set fire to provide you with a massive sustain, but if someone goes down, a hands-free revival means you are likely to stop the enemy from pushing and sweeping you.

Ash takes the top spot for her Incredibly high killing potential and powerful ability to engage with enemy teams. Every part of her kit is designed to make you aggressive, so if you think you have what you need to carry your team and get kills, Ash has everything you need.
Her tactical ability, Arksnare, is a great way to set up successful pushes. Arc Snare allows you to slow down enemies and deal damage. This is a very powerful attack tool and is one of the reasons why I feel that Ash is currently the most impactful legend in Apex.
As part of the attack class, what Battle Surge Passive Ash receives is perfect for her kit. Combat Surges emphasize the target when you break the shield by increasing movement and reloading speed.
In my experience, the combination of athleticism, crowd control and the opportunity to lead your team will make Ash the best legend in 2025.
