The GTA series features lots of pop culture references and celebrity cameos and spoofing.
Over the years, it also includes cameos and guest appearances from many celebrities, but at first glance it’s less obvious than others.
You will see amazing NPCs that are stand-up comedians in GTA 4 in-game clubs and theatres, or appear to make requests at GTA Online. The Rockstar series has managed to present these famous faces in a non-invasive way And sometimes you can completely miss it.
That said, not all cameos are created equally. Of the many guest appearances in the series over the years, these are definitely worth the money.
10
Franky Boyle
Brutal and funny Scottish comedian
In the mid-2000s, Frankie Boyle was known as one of the most ruthless stand-up comedians around.
Watching him in countless weeks this week, I was quite exaggerated to see him being featured as a stand-up act in the Lost and Damned DLC in GTA 4.
It might be a subtle cameo that has little effect on the main story of the game, The rough nature of what is lost and the curse makes Franky fit perfectly For a more vulgar atmosphere.
Franky’s set is about what you expect from the Scots of his Prime, aimed at the audience, himself, and society as a whole.

Danny Dyer
Through the boy of Essex
Growing up in Essex, it was not immediately clear that Kent Paul had called out to Danny Dyer in both the GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas.
This quirky side character is the best in the series, and his powerful Essex accents contribute significantly to his uniqueness.
EastEnders Star does an amazing job of portraying a mentally unstable, drug-addicted but highly ambitious music managerand certainly brings his own personal eccentricity to the role.
Whether it’s trying to get dope for his band “Love Fist,” or a strike deal with the Russian mafia in Ras Venturas, Ken certainly knows how to get himself into some interesting situations, even if it’s not the big shot he appears to be thinking.

doctor
The legend of the West Coast is back
The GTA Online Dr. Dre deal is undoubtedly one of the most memorable things, even if the recent former NWA star has just passed his prime.
Anyway, it’s great to see him in GTA 5. For many of us, the NWA is synonymous with riding around Los Santos In GTA: San Andreas from the PlasyStation 2 era.
Dre’s involvement isn’t particularly broad, but his cameos are welcome, not overdoing and very realistic.
Instead of being a street-level hustler in the middle of action, Dore has been calming down after retiring at Los Santos Golf Club, but that doesn’t mean that his contract mission is less confusing.
Overall, it is a very fitting tribute to the legend of Los Angeles and is something that works perfectly in the context of an online mission.
7
Solomun
DJs fit seamlessly into the game
It’s not uncommon to see celebrity DJs in GTA Online’s nightclubs these days, but when Solomun first appeared as an NPC and ran the DJ set, it was a big deal.
As one of the best melodic house DJs of the past decades, It was a welcome surprise that Solomun’s inclusion in the game as a DJ who lives in a player-owned nightclub, and helped to increase the popularity of early GTA online.
You may think I’m exaggerating, but I clearly remember people are logging into GTA, especially online, listening to Solomun’s DJ set for the first time.
The player encounters Solomun when he first set up the first club with Tony Prince and has to rescue him after he crashes a private jet.
6
Bass Rutten
The legend of cage fighting has some advice
If you don’t know who Bas Rutten is, you’re missing it. This Kickass Dutchman and former UFC heavyweight champion are one of the toughest men to walk the planet, helping to unlock the sport of mixed martial arts in the 1990s.
On top of that, he has a sense of humor and is often absolutely hilarious, even if he doesn’t always do.
BAS serves as an in-game TV and radio character for GTA 4. He co-hosted a show called “The Men’s Room” and spoke about how to be particularly tough.
Something about bass accents and tones combined with his physical ferociousness and crazy experiences makes him extremely attractive and enjoyable, and his humor is perfect for the GTA series.
5
Danny Trejo
The perfect cartel maniac
Danny Trejo is one of Hollywood’s most unmistakable actors and has been like that for quite some time. The Machete actor voices Cuban gang leader Umberto Lovina, but the character model is not subtle in his portrayal of the man behind the microphone.
Umberto gets caught up in a brutal gang war with hatred, seeks help from Tommy Versetti, and ultimately repays the favor by improving Tommy’s reputation in the city.
His personality is as violent and unstable as you might thinkand he is often overcome by an outburst of rage.
The cameos are a lovely touch and certainly aged. Trejo seems to have given the game even more credibility since then, as he has become even more famous than he was back then.

Kat Williams
Ensures that split sides will withstand the name
Kat Williams is one of my favourite American comedians for several reasons, and I think that’s part of what he’s featured in GTA 4 as a stand-up act.
I think it’s fair to admit that as a young European child, I’m not familiar with Cut’s work or his unique brand of mischievous humor.
That all changed when Nico took the girl (I think it was either Michelle or Kate) to the Splitside Comedy Club and saw the in-game performance from the front row.
I clearly remember thinking about how good the side activity in the GTA 4 was, mainly thanks to the T.His routine made me laugh a little bit as much as watching him play in person.
As I grew older, I later came to understand what the comedy legend Kat Williams was already at that point, but finding Kat Williams via the GTA certainly stayed with me, just like the songs on radio stations in the game.
3
Ricky Gerve
His ironic best brit
One of the last people I thought I would meet in the GTA game was British comedian Ricky Gerve.
However, GTA 4 was able to fully integrate him into the universe as another stand-up act in the Splitside Comedy Club.
Ricky’s dry and sarcasm humor is not something you would expect to translate normally to an American audience, but the creator of the office was able to prove that he could introduce more sarcasm and “frizzy” humor to America as well.
His set in GTA 4 features not Cringe but some of his best jokes from the stand-up tour. Ricky’s creative, graphics and sometimes very dark heart are perfect for the GTA universeeven if it may not be at first glance.
Of all the comedians in the game, I personally enjoy Ricky’s routine the most. Maybe I’m a bit biased like myself.
2
Samuel L. Jackson
Hollywood legends dominate San Andreas
Arguably one of Hollywood’s coolest actors, Samuel L. Jackson is one of the less subtle celebrities that appears in the GTA series.
Playing the main villains of GTA: San Andreas, the corrupt cop Tempenny, Jackson’s performance is absolutely top tier and is one of the most iconic of the entire series.
His rog arrogance-based calculated nature makes him a formidable enemy, and at every turn of the story he tries to manipulate CJ and mess with him in some way.
Jackson’s unique voice, combined with his ironic tone and character manipulation, creates an absolute masterpiece.
Without Samuel L. Jackson, I think it’s safe to say that GTA: San Andreas might not have had the same influence and soul as it is today.
1
Ray Liotta
Amazing actors for great characters
Ray Liotta is known for playing Suave and Charismatic characters on the big screen, but we found his performance also translated into video games.
When I first played GTA: Sub-City, I thought Good Ferras Star voicing voices Tommy Versetti. This is his commitment to his role.
Looking back, it becomes more obvious, just like the fact that Liotta was the perfect cast for the role.
Tommy may not be as vocal as many of the other protagonists in the GTA series, When he speaks, he is usually smooth, humorous and cool.
Vice City’s Definitive Edition Remaster is sure to work well today for modern players looking to experience today’s story first hand, and delight fans of Liotta’s 90s gangster films.
